feds certainly beat around the bush on all his answers but i have to believe he's being careful on what he says. it's not like he can be like "oh yeah i can't wait to get off this team and join another team" or something like that. he's just playing it safe, saying he's concentrating on getting healthy and winning. 6 days till we know if #91 is back in detroit!!!

he looked decent for his first game back. had some jump, played with nash most of the night. a couple times he opted to pass instead of taking a shot which frustrated me. the jackets are just terrible, i can't wait for feds to get traded to ANYWHERE else, hopefully detroit! *fingers crossed*

i understand that's an objective argument but i bring it up cause we're talking about feds and feds only. people are saying he's washed up simply from his offensive numbers and it's just not true. it seems he's reluctant to shoot to either pass it to another guy or he's just not confident right now, and he's been brainwashed to think defense all the time. i'm his biggest fan really, i find it soo hard watchin him on the jackets, it's just not a good fit. keep in mind he did put up 31 goals with anaheim that first full season. the jackets absolutely killed him. bring him back to the wings and he'll spark i just know it. believe!!!! oh and echo, your name reminds me of a song with that name 'echolalia' by a band called maxeen. no idea what it means or if that's where you got it from but that's what i think of cause i like them

the wings are or at least hopefully will go for a defensman but certainly doesn't hurt to get a forward with his mindframe to cover the whole ice. how bout this, the deadline is almost here, we'll know shortly enough if feds is back with the wings. then we'll see what he does and settle it then. cause it's impossible to swing someone's mind, your either for him or against right now.

why do all the fedorov bashers have to directly relate his play to his offensive numbers?? we all know they aren't there anymore, but let's face it, he's on honestly the worst team i've ever watched and i watch just about every jackets game. they are pathetic. big deal they are in the playoff race, so is another 27 teams. if he were on an offensive team like the wings, penquins, etc his numbers would be better and most of you bashers wouldn't be bashing him at all. the wings do need secondary scoring and i really think by being on a new team or his old team in this case would spark him offensively. he's WAAAY to worried about playing defensively on the jackets. tonight for example, he passed up so many chances to shoot to pass it, then goes and skates behind the jacket defenseman as if he's gonna take his spot back there. he wouldn't be a -4 on the wings either, so don't use that against him.

he wasn't demoted, nash doesn't play well with hardly anyone, just about everyone has been on his line this season. fedorov was moved to the 2nd and 3rd lines to add depth and defensive responsibility to the younger players like boll and glencross. sergei would fit in like a glove on the wings. he's a puck control/moving player, the jackets are dump and chase crap.

fourthperiod.com just added the flyers as another team interested in feds. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. i'm in philly. i despise (to say the least) the flyers. the ONLY good thing about that would be i get to watch him in person alot but i would HATE him to go to the flyers, they don't fit his style whatsoever, i hate the flyers so much. i don't know how i could route for a team i hate so much. what a nightmare. if he would ever get off the IR, things could heat up. if he were playing tonight against the wings, it would be an easy way for the two gm's to talk and make something happen but teams are still waiting for him to return and see him play a couple games. i wish i knew him, but your attempt at sarcasm is ridiculous because you could say the same about people who claim he "craves the spotlight". wouldn't they need to know how he feels also to say something like that. thought so. but anyway it's pretty clear to know someone you watch every game through his actions and expressions etc. it's clear he isn't about scoring 30+ goals anymore, he just wants to win and be responsible defensively and be a good role model for the younger guys on the jackets. i think we could all agree with that.

oh come on, he's a 38 year old veteran who wants to win. he does not crave the spotlight. he doesn't even have the spotlight in columbus. he would love having any role on the wings these days.

holy geez people!! fedorov does not play with nash and zherdev. yes they are on the same team, that does not mean they play on the same lines. watch a bluejackets game and watch fedorov do his thing before you base your arguments on his offensive numbers.

kylee, you just don't get it. your stuck in the 90's expecting him to put up monster pts. you ask for examples of why he would be a good fit here again...have you literally missed about 100 of the 153 posts explaining why?? wake up as for people consistently claiming he is playing with nash and zherdev, apparently you watch ZERO jackets games. and i'm glad someone pointed out the toughness playing with those two players. don't get me wrong i love nash and zherdev but whoever said they are puck hogs hit it right on the head. not only that but the jackets are probably the worst offensive team i've ever watched. they have so little to offer. nash and zherdev are the only one's scoring this season. vyborny has been awful, peca is so overrated and i just don't understand why hitchcock relies on him so much. still puts him in the shootout rotation. modin has been hurt. that leaves malholtra, chimera, novotny, jared boll. i mean come on!! foote is on the power play which is so hard to watch, that guy couldn't get the puck on the net if he was the only one out there. fedorov is the glue to that team, not nash. he's so responsible defensively, his plus/minus rating is mostly a reflection of how bad the team is and him playing with young and inexperienced players. i could go on and on about the jackets, they frustrate me so much being a fan. i can't wait for fedorov to get traded!!! he's all smiles when the jackets score, a trade will only spark feds even more. he's as clutch in the playoffs as they come. the wings need him. there is no way in hell if feds was on just about any other team he'd be doing this poorly offensively. he'd have around 15 goals and 25-30 assists right now. watching bluejacket games makes me wanna pull my hair out. i thought getting hitchcock was gonna be great, it's only gotten more defensive. yes they went from near dead last in goals against last season to 16th right now, and have chances to win more, but they still aren't going to make the playoffs!!!! PLEASE PLEASE TRADE HIM ALREADY!!! oh and as far as the injury goes, it was reported that he rode the bike for 40 minutes today with no problems and is eyeing a weekend return. i think had he not got injured, he may have been traded already. i think the 3 teams rumored to be looking for feds (detroit, ottawa and pittsburgh) are waiting to see him play a couple games.

during day 2 went they went to the game, i noticed how empty the 2nd level at the Joe was. is that really the case this year or past years?? what's going on? fans are just so used to winning that they say "screw it, i'll watch it on tv"??

as far as i'm concerned, fluke or not, one time is too many and we've now had this happen twice (malarchuk). luckily it didn't seem like the referee in the flyers-rangers game was anything like this but it just never needs to happen. neckgaurds aren't that annoying. they could design them to be alittle thinner perhaps or whatever, players should just suck it up, they'll get used to it. it could save their life one day. malarchuk and zednik are lucky to be alive.

i agree 100% and they wouldn't burden their play whatsoever! i don't want to see a change after someone dies, cause it seems that's what it's gonna take before players stop being so old school. if i were in the nhl i'd wear a full cage and neckgaurd. can't have too much protection really as much as these guys have no respect for where their sticks go it seems.

that would NOT make me happy, this is the red wings. the only finesse team left in the boring nhl. i don't want any goons.
