Its so stupid. How can these high ranking officials even have a job when they are speaking about some absolutely ridiculous proposal to play in Europe. We have no hockey teams in Hamilton, Regina, Quebec City, or Hartford, yet we have teams in Nashville, Phoenix, and Ft. Lauderdale that are horrible, have always been horrible, and should move back up north. Yet for some reason, making a European division and having teams travel 8 hour flights to play is a good idea? Ludicrous. NHL is the NA haven for hockey and it better stay that way.

Would love to see Homer comes back, but his body has taken such beating over the years. All the sacrifice he has given in front of that net. If he did retire, I would completely understand and be thankful for all the wonderful rebound goals that guy stole. Poor homer, is he probably going to be in such bad shape when he is 50. I mean his bones are going to be aching soooo bad.

Ill have to go with Chiasson just because he had a tragic end to his career and was soooo damn good in NHL 94 despite his crappy overall. How did Steve Chiasson pass again? Drunk driving and slammed into a tree right? damn shame.

Think I am going to disagree with you. For the bulk of the season i see Datsyuk playing with Hossa and Homer on the first line, with Z, Franzen and Filp on the second. Reason being, homer and franzen will be split up on the first two lines, then its just a matter of mix and matching Zetterberg, Dats, Hossa, and Filp together to get the best one two punch. damn... zetterberg, datsyuk, hossa, lidstrom, ralf. unbelievable 5 players. no one in the league can match that line.

You know its actually kinda sad... One would think Kaberle, McCabe and Kubina would be a really solid start to a Defense.

Move the Florida Panthers to Milwaukee Wisconsin, and palce them in the central division. drop the Nashville Preds to the South East Division. Wisconsin is a definate hockey state, they would sell a lot more tickets than the Panthers ever could.

Sammy needs to be traded for some pics. There is no point to have him. His position has been filled by Hossa, regardless of his right shot. Sure he had that big SCF two goal game, but that was his ONLY moment of glory since last season when he scored two goals to knock out the sharks 4-2. with that.... I expect Helm to kick some ass in training camp and make the starting team. hossa - datsyuk - homer filp - zata - franzen maltby - draper - cleary helm - hudler - kopecy the enforcers Dmac and Downey play the role of the 13th forward. Helm or leino will seriously battle for that forward spot, it will be interesting to see what happens. Helm I thought was amazing in the SCF. He lead two games in a row with hits, and he was the fastest skater out there! That is promise, but maybe some more time could help him get his skills down. Hopefully Leino can step it up and turn some heads.
