gee, what do you want us to do? We're just trying to find the positive in a negative situation. Right now the avs board is filled with a lot of negativity and I think people are just trying to raise everyone's spirits. I know we're not the same team we were in '99 but some of us just like to focus on the positive. People are just giving up on our team (yes, even some avs fans) but I refuse to do that. I guess that's just part of being a die-hard.

I got my album in the mail but now I'm playing hell getting someone to call me back regarding buying the rest of the collection... they told me they would call me back and it's been almost a week and I'm afraid they're going to keep putting it off and I'm going to get screwed. I have one more request if someone could help us out, we have the first 5 or 6 medallions... is anyone able to help us collect the rest? I know they sell them at the Detroit news building downtown... I know it's a big request, but any help is surely appreciated!

As an avs fan I have to agree, and I was wondering the same thing to myself today. Sure, it would be nice to have him but it's not that big of an advantage to have one extra star. We have other skilled players on this team and shouldn't rely on one person to carry the weight of the entire team and expect him to guide us to victory. I'm not blaming our losses on Forsberg being out, I can however blame our loss on the sloppy penatlies for one (amongst other things)....

I can't speak on behalf of other avs fans, but I definitely appreciate Joe... he's just a great guy and a good leader for our team. It's going to be hard seeing his jersey retired! Much like it was when Stevie Y retired! Personally, I think that Joe and Stevie were separated at birth... they just seem to have many of the same traits.

I get tired of the VS announcers, I wish I could watch the games on FSN Detroit or Altitude....

that's the number I tried and I didn't have much luck... they did tell me they were going to call me back yesterday and no one has called me back yet. I will give it a couple more days and try again...

I'm waiting on the guy from The Detroit news to call me back, we bought a portion of the collection while we were in Detroit and just need about 15 more. If I have any luck with this, I'll let you guys know his name/number so you can order a set thru the mail.

I think it's great for people to voice their opinions about this and to be upset since it is a long-time tradition, but cursing and name-calling on the petition isn't going to help the situation.
