Yeah, you're right... there are still plenty of people who chant "red wings suck" at the games... which really pisses me off because it shows a total lack of respect for the team. I will not boo the wings (especially since I have my wings fan husband next to me, lol) It just really irritates me because when people say things like the red wings suck... I feel like asking them "are you blind? have you even looked at the standings lately? They obviously don't suck!" It's really tough seeing the avs go through these tough times, but I hope they can keep improving and once again become an elite team.

yep, like other people said... could have been better, could have been worse. I'm happy that he will be back in time for our trip to Detroit so we can see him vs. the Blue Jackets.

Are you referring to avs fans not giving a rat's ass when it's another elite player? Because you must only be referring to the immature fans who don't know any better. I know several avs fans who felt really bad about what happened to Lidstrom and want him to make a quick recovery and get back into the game. But you're right, some people might say things to the effect of "I'm happy he's hurt" and "I hope that's the end of his career" and other offensive comments. I sincerely believe that Lappy didn't intend to hurt Lidstrom, but he did... and there's nothing he can do to take that back. I think that Lemieux was more the type of player that didn't give a $hit about who he hurt... but I like to think that Laperriere is a better player/person than that. Again, I would like to reitterate that I am NOT trying to defend lappy... I just watch him play every game and he just seems like a good guy. Get well soon Nick! <3

we're considering going to a Tigers game on our visit in April... I'm pretty excited about baseball especially with the run the Rockies had the past season. Wow, talk about a rush!

I know. I realize that is not everyone's feelings. The remark was just a little upsetting... Sakic and Lidstrom are two of the classiest guys in the league... I would hate to see anything happen to either of them. With Sakic missing most of this season I realize just how lucky we are to have someone like him on the team... I just hope that Stastny can step up and lead the team after Sakic retires.

oh, Puh-lease. He is nothing like Lemieux!!! I don't think that the hit on Lidstrom was OK, but Lappy and Lemieux are two TOTALLY different players. And I can't even believe I'm hearing comments on here about running Sakic down? That really shows a total lack of class and respect. I realize I'm a new member to the board and I am not trying to piss anyone off and make enemies, but as an avs fan I feel totally horrible for what happened to Lidstrom and I don't understand how running down Joe Sakic is going to make things better. Is that what you think Lidstrom wants? Revenge? Sorry, but Lidstrom doesn't seem like that kind of player/person.

Yes, being a die hard avs fan I can definitely admit that our goaltending situation needs work. Sometimes it feels as if we're either really good or REALLY bad. Both Budaj and Theodore have their strong points, but sometimes I wish that we could just stick with one or the other. I am partial to Budaj myself... Last night was a real tough game to watch, I thought about it alot at work today. I felt real bad for Lidstrom and I was trying to understand why Lappy would hit him like that because he's just not a dirty player. He's just generally a good guy, both on and off the ice. I was just a little embarrassed from last night's performance Nevertheless, I really hope that Lidstrom is alright....

Congrats on the win tonite wings fans - it was tough seeing my avs lose - you guys won fair and square. I am sad to say that my favorite av is the one who hit Lidstrom and I am really concerned for Lidstrom and I hope he's ok... Lappy doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would intentionally cause harm, so I don't know what was wrong tonite... I'm not trying to defend his actions, I am simply saying that he doesn't usually play like that. I would also like to mention that it would make me very sick if I heard an avs fan cheering for ANY player getting hurt. That is just unacceptable behavior. simply put! Get well soon Lidstrom.

You know it... LOL... I wore mine almost every day this weekend and the sleeves started looking a wee bit dirty (damn white jersey!) so I ran it thru the wash in cold water with a little bit of Tide on gentle cycle and here's how it turned out: It is now hanging up to dry... I was worried that the logo would get wrinkled but it didn't.

I can't think of a good caption, but I would like to mention that he looks soooo evil.... OMG, he just seems like he would be such a jerk to have as a coach. He always looks like he's getting ready to take a crap in his pants... LOL...

funny that you mention it, but we met Gordie in Denver when he was here last Spring and got a jersey autographed... it's sitting safely in our closet waiting to be framed. My Laperriere jersey arrived at the Pepsi center today so I went and picked it up during my lunch.... I love it! The new jerseys feel so different though... way different that my CCM and KOHO jerseys. This one is real stretchy...

yes, we do all of our jerseys in cold water/gentle cycle and we don't dry them... they dry fine on a hanger. We just use normal laundry detergent.... Come on, if they can take out what the hockey players dish out and still be in one piece they gotta be pretty sturdy, right? I just ordered my new authentic Edge Ian Laperriere jersey about 4 weeks ago, and I can hardly wait for it to show up!!!

I wish the avs would lower their ticket prices on EVERY game.... I was surprised that the wings tickets were cheaper when I bought them for our trip in April... the way things are now, we can only go to about 5-6 games a year. Nosebleed season tix for the avs are almost $1k right now...
