I do have to admit that even though we were in the upper level in the center, we had a great view of the game... I wasn't disappointed at all with those seats that were only like $45 each. Plus, the ushers at our section was a very nice guy and told us to feel free to walk down to the ice and take pictures during warm-ups.

Yep, this is my biggest complaint with the Joe... I had one soda during the entire game to avoid a trip to the restroom. That's why I feel so fortunate to have the pepsi center, I don't think I've ever waited more than a couple minutes to use the restroom even on a sellout night. We do have 3 levels so, so we're lucky And the pepsi center is a beautiful building. As is coors field and inveso field @ mile high. We will definitely make another trip to Detroit though, the Joe has some history so it makes it memorable.

I have to agree with you on this, Jack. Well put. I know I said that I laughed at him, but he was a little on the wild side... but it's good to have the NHL be so far reaching. IMO, he chose a good team... hehe... but you knew I was going to say that, right?

I watched that entire interview and I almost spit an entire mouthful of Soda out when the guy says "yah, you can come stay at my house!!" (when the interviewer was inquiring about making a trip to Slovakia. his accent totally sounded fake, and the interview was hilarious. You have to respect his dedication though... that's a lot of long plane rides just to see some hockey games!

yep, you can say that again... I think we spent almost $100 at Hockeytown authentics and only got like 3 or 4 items. Oh well, they do have a nice selection so I think it's worth it. have fun on the trip, we hope to return to DetroIt again soon!

Not to be rude, but I think you're mistaken.... I am constantly seeing people wearing avs stuff and I live in the Denver Metro area. Maybe it's not always jerseys, but I see hats, t-shirts, jerseys and jackets all the time in and around the City. Yes, I do see more Broncos stuff around here (but that's because they've been around for longer and have a larger amount of fans) but I also feel that the avs have a pretty strong fan base here in Denver. But then again, every team has its bandwagon fans who only follow them when they're successful which makes me mad... I am not going further into deal on this whole discussion because I already know I'm probably going to get flamed by some of the people on here for my comments... So I'll close with that.

That sounds like fun, I love avenged sevenfold... We saw shinedown a couple years ago with Godsmack and Rob Zombie, it was a good show.

You have to remember that some of that money goes to the people that setup the autograph signing so he doesn't see every cent of it. Plus, if it was free you would be waiting in line for hours on end to get an autograph. We met him last year in Denver and it was worth every penny paid, he's the sweetest guy ever
