goalie equipment and bigger nets is a very sensitive subject because if you change both by a little it could cause major shifts in how the game is played. Luongo and Giguere have really big equipment. It would be nice to see the equipment made to protect the goalie and nothing more. That would put a huge push on big defense which could have unforeseen consequences. An 84 game season to decrease the exhibition games is a good idea. I would not want to see anything else changed. I don't understand the details of the salary retention but after seeing what Anaheim did this season I'd generally frown upon it. I think a team should be basically complete before the season begins and in season trading kept to a minimum. Otherwise, the regular season looks pointless. I don't like the idea of 1 minute penalties. 4 on 4 should leave enough space on the ice for penalties to not be a factor. If you're getting penalties at that point the team deserves it. If they can get nice ice in every arena that would be something big to shoot for.

Wings win 3-0 (Filppula, Lidstrom, Datsyuk) I predict the wings will play a stable game like they did in Dallas. They will generate more offense against Colorado though and get some goals.

Howard played a solid game. The D blocked a lot of shots and helped him out where they didn't with Ozzie. But he made some good saves.

Those other losses bothered me but not a whole lot. This loss was definatley the most aggravating of all of our losses. You can tell the guys were giving it their all and it still wasn't enough.

If that net were empty Draper would have gotten that in.
