Yeah, I watched all the games with Colorado. While the ref calls were never as controversial as today the networks always bragged more about Colorado. I don't know why they don't like Detroit. It is ridiculous.

Gary Bettman can take that degree he got from Cornell and shove it up his ace. Something needs to be done about the reffing. Anaheim won the "when teachers not looking" award.

Tremendous reffing. These announcers are just the best too. They have so much knowledge of the game.

If that's how they're going to ref it then I quit being a hockey fan. Ridiculous.

This is a really good game so far. I like the Drake-Downey-Maltby line and they played good in the first. That Carter goal sucked. Still need to see some secondary scoring. Lot of the players have kicked it up. Lets see if they can play a full 60 minutes.

This game is going to be a major test for our guys. You can bet both teams are studying the tapes a lot for this one. I have no idea what to expect. Detroit hasn't been playing great for the last 4 games or so. Basically since Kronwall got hurt. No Kronwall and no Cleary. This is like a pseudo-conference final game where some of our players have been hurt in previous series. Detroit is less rested, which I think is pretty lame.

haha yeah I knew I was going to get flak for that one. It sucks though, he wont be back until the playoffs start and then he might not be as much of a physical presence.

I watch FSND when the game is playing. I enjoy Coaches Corner and Satellite Hotstove for a change. FSND has superior announcers though. NBC should hire Mickey and Daniels to do national games if you ask me. Better then those crazy mullet people they have doing them now...I don't even think those guys like hockey. The country could use the Mickeyisms! Plus he winks at me every time a broadcast starts. Makes me feel special. Mickey - "He shot the bear!" @ Boston Bruins game

The Wings aren't playing bad but to win the cup you need scoring from everyone. Hoping to see some diffinitive goals tomorrow without Z, Datsyuk or Lidtrom's name on it.

I agree they are slumping. I am blaming this all on the trade deadline and Cleary not signing a contract. Those things get the players minds in different places. Lidstrom, Homer, Zetterberg and Datsyuk are the only ones ready for the playoffs right now. Nobody else is playing with enough emotion to win. They keep trying to score the same kind of goals every game but teems are a lot more keen to it. We'll see how they play tomorrow. If it's bad Kenny is going to have to do something because we need another veteran player to activate the second or third line.

That game was more boring than the Kings game and to top it off we lose.

Did anyone see that little kid flipping the one Red Wing player off?! He was banging his hands against the glass. That was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I hope someone recorded that and makes it their icon.

Yeah really, remember Ti Domi? That guy was cool. Hopefully the wings are fired up for this one. They pretty much have to be since it will be on CBC. Trade deadline or not. I'm not sure what we'll see out of the Kopecky-Samuelsson-Franzen line. Franzen is the only guy that has been playing good. Who knows what Hudler and Flip will be doing. They really need to up their game. I know they have it in them. If everyone comes to play... wings win 4-0. (z-2x, Flip, Hudler) Hasek will need to be in goal tomorrow against Anaheim. That will be a major message game. I guess Ozzy plays today.

These guys better wake up and play for Sunday. I hate that team more than ever before. There should be a bunch of fights and there will have to be scoring from the dead lines. Someone should give Kronwall a purse for getting injured again.

It was 80's night at the Joe. It was weird when they played "somebody's watchin' you" at the end of the game because Ken Holland was up in the birds nest watching how everyone played. I think that was why they played like crap. Cleary hasn't signed a contract yet and other guys could get traded for someone else. Did you see Hudler doing that crazy deke crap in the corner with no one around him? It was kind of funny. The D broke down in the third and Ozzy broke down shortly thereafter. But the whole game was weird, people were all over the place. Even in Minnesota they had a structure to their game. Seems like it was a message game or something. It was like the 80's wings. Plus, the way Cleary and Z chose their words after the game was a little funky

Yeah, for the best team in the world to get booed at home would be insane. I saw that guy standing up with his arms in the air but I didn't really hear anything on the TV. I haven't been to a game there since the late 90's and it was a regular season game where we lost 3-0 to Edmonton but nobody dared boo or anything. It's hard to say this year though, since all the auto jobs are gone there are a lot more cranky people out there!

Did you see the Cleary interview? He didn't have much to say. Hope that was over the loss! Zetterberg seemed flustered too. Babcock didn't have much to say. I hope some stupid fans didn't yell blasphemy onto the ice. That Kings game was one of the easiest to get tickets to. I saw some guy with a wingnut hat standing up with his arms in the air and I was like "wtf man sit down. one bad game." Mickey Redmond was sure quiet. I know he was upset over the penalties. I'm more worried about the fans saying something rude than the loss. They have the biggest weekend of the regular season coming up here. I hope they are ready for Toronto and Anaheim.
