Yeah not much to say. Keeping an eye on the play. Phantom hook was funny.

Don't call me Gordo!

They'll pick it up in the third. No one wants to get injured. Especially with a PO'ed Blues team.
-
Well, they tied it. Ozzy didn't look too good on the save. Injury...

I wonder if the Blues passed the Redwing's bluebook before the game. "A lamp post next to a drunk. Some nights for support, some for illumination." - Mick Had to write that down.

Anyone hear that *** "helllloo" when Mick was talking about injuries? Funny.

It's highly unlikely Edmonton makes it in. I think the the probability of playing Colorado in the first round is high enough to consider it a lock unless there is a drastic losing streak by a team. I really believe the Wings are too good to have a first round exit this year even with Osgood. I'm actually wondering about the second round matchups. If the top 4 seeds beat the bottom 4 we play Anaheim in the 2nd round and if we get past them, another juggernaut in the 3rd round. If there is a 3-6 upset we could face Minnesota, Dallas, Calgary or Vancouver depending on how they finish. Also, San Jose would play Anaheim in the 2nd round. I find this scenario more favorable. We wouldn't get stuck playing 2 of the big 3 (Detroit, San Jose, Anaheim) like we did last year. That 3rd seed looks a lot weaker than the others in the top 4 which will benefit San Jose if the 3rd seed gets past the 1st round. Hope there is a 3-6 upset!

It's interesting to note that although the Wings have had 2 first round exits since winning in '02, the teams that have beat them since then have gone on to win the cup or play in game 7 of the Cup finals. I find this pretty invigorating. You could also note the higher level of toughness in the Western conference and the disadvantage Detroit has at acclimating to late games out west in 1 day. Wouldn't it be interesting to have the higher seeded team choose whether they play their 1st 2 games as visitors or at home for this issue of playing at 10:30? It might be tough for ticket holders.

Didn't somebody write a song about this?

Grumbles. I feel like Poland. Glad to see it's taking off though! Great job!

I initiated the bracelet idea! You guys were there when I proposed it! Hence, I simply jest. ...eyepatch!!

You didn't say may I!

You girls talking red string or red yarn?

About 10 minutes worth. Where's my PR job?! An eye-patch would be sweet. Just don't run into stuff when you're wearing it! If you do the dreads that be awesome! Rhasta man. Yeah, they have those bracelets everywhere. You might even find them for free at a library or something. Check Walmart and ask for bracelets like the Live Strong ones. I wouldn't expect them to be over $2 each.

Turn your hair into dreadlocks and die them red. Princess Leia hair. Roadie. Paint your nails each game without removing previous game's polish. Wear a lace glove only on your left hand each gameday. (white for home red for away) Wear super long boots. Put on a rubber bracelet for each win and don't remove them. (colbert wriststrong are red!) Shave your eyebrows at the start of the playoffs. High heels. Wear an eyepatch. Wear a different color lipstick between each win. Add beads to a braid for every win or every game played if you're really feeling it. (bead pattern and colors represent the emotions you went through during the game)

That was pretty bad. Do the Ducks have immunity since they won last year? That should be a suspension but they have Burke.
-
They went on to win the Cup! 3 games to 2 against the Rangers in the finals. Yeah! EDIT: This made them back to back champions. --correction-- no it didn't

March 24 1936 - Mud Bruneteau scored at 16:30 of the sixth overtime as Detroit defeated Montreal in Game 1 of the semifinals.

It's true. Before the 10 game losing skid the GDT's were around 28 pages. Last week they were around 14 and last nights hit 18. I think Wings fans developed a complex after getting swept in the first round a few times with such high hopes. I think we have the physicality and playoff goaltending to avoid an early exit now though. Hopefully those days are over.
