Yay #1 in the NHL for a day. The good news is even with the Wings play so-so hockey the last 2 months they're still vying for the top seed in the NHL. I believe come May they'll clinch it.

With Malkin leading scoring and +/-, I think it's safe to say he's the best player in the NHL right now. Long term - Crosby will be a hall of famer.

Honestly there are no guarantees in the playoffs what will happen.

One of the perks of winning the Cup is the next regular season you don't have to "balls to the wall" for the first 40-50 games. I guarantee you once we get around that time, the Wings will play fierce hockey straight to the end and take home the Cup.

I'll take 7-1-1 with some sloppy play over 1-7-1 any day. The Wings have time to get everything together. Playoffs not for 6 months.

Why must you go to extremes? The point was that AO should dial down the intensity when it's called for. It's called "career management".
