What channel has the absolute worst hockey coverage/most annoying incompetant announcers and or anything else negative you can come up with. Also who has the best and why. Worst: 1. NBC - Pierre McGuire, nuff said, also it causes a FSN-Detroit blackout. 2. Versus - Like a cheap, lame attempt at copying ESPN, and it always causes my FSN-D to be blacked out. 3. FSN-Tennesee - Absolute s*** announcer 4. Any local affilate station that carries a red wings away game, and you happen to live in their area. Best: 1. Fox Detroit - Ken and Mickey, best announcers in all of TV, best overall and consistant broadcasts, you can expect the same quality and format game after game. 2. CBC - Great coverage and always competent announcers, its from canada, and a novelty to watch because its almost never shown in the us

Oh boy same refs as last night, this should be good.

I have noticed a significant amount of players falling down on the ice in every game, I have played hockey for many years and can go many full games without falling down once unless being hit. I have seen less players fall down in mini-mite games with kids that can barely skate than I am seeing in the pros, what gives?

The refs did a great job of winning Calgary the game.

They should have picked a team from the east. Like toronto, boston or montreal.

He'd be alright in my book if the NHL and EVERY single media outlet wasn't harping about him 24/7 putting him up on a pedastal and saying this is your hockey god, worship him. I don't see any NHL commercials featuring anyone except Crosby. Crosby is not the type of player the NHL should be using as their icon and neither is Ovetchkin, they aren't iconic legends, leaders, or heros, they just score goals. I played in high school and you see their type, and you live to blast them with the hardest open ice hit you can think of.

Yeah if babs played with only 2 lines like a lot of the other teams Dats would have way more points than everyone one else. Seriously I watched the Capitols the other day and their strategy is pathetic... keep ovetchkin on the ice at all times, and pass the puck to ovetchkin. I couldn't even tell you the names of anyone else on the team because all I hear from the play by play is "Ovetchkin shoots!!"

I remember that Vipers game howe played in, but he only played one 30 second shift if I recall. I miss the Vipers, their first season was absolute awesomeness. The IHL was great, I don't know what happened.
