Man, this is a long period of downtime between games. I checked my inbox and read the NHL newsletter and came across an interesting link to a blog about the defense of the "Hockeytown" title. Check it out here http://fans.nhl.com/members/jleWings/boards/23166 I have to say I agree with what this guy says. The case is written very well and makes sure to not ignore other fans perspectives. Don't know if anyone else had a chance to check it out, but if you haven't give it a go. It's a good read. Any opinions on this whole "Hockeytown" business?

I definitely encourage Wings fans going to the game to throw octopi on the ice. Their vaginas are very sore about the situation (0-3) so they are looking for anything to feel better about themselves, even if it means Wings fans getting in small amounts of trouble for throwing an octupus onto the playing surface. They act like anyone caught doing it is going to be locked up and the key thrown away. Please. Full marks for any Wings fan in that position with the nuts to sneak it in, sit with it for a while, and then hurl it onto the ice. This is not like corporal punishment. Big ******* deal. Columbus fans need to stop being such ******* and come to the realization that the fact that having Nash and Mason does not make you an elite playoff team. Welcome to the playoffs fellas....

Columbus is so butthurt over being 0-3 in the series the best they can focus on is the Wings fan that threw the octopus on the ice tonite. Apparently whoever that was caught a lot of s*** for doing that. Bunch of *******. Better luck next year.

OK so at the start of the last game I cracked a $14 bottle of beer and said that would mean we would win. And we did. In keeping with that spirit, I just cracked a $7.50 bottle. So there is that, but even if we lose, I still win lol.

What a bunch of *******. Sounds like they are butthurt about being down 0-2 so they have to focus on the octopi. I hope someone gets one out to smite them. A bunch of fans on the Columbus forum basically said they would play police officer if they saw anyone attempting it.

Wow. Total FAIL. Where are all those bigmouthed Sharks fans that said this season was different and they were so much better than the Wings and bla bla bla. Different year, different coach, same story.
