Filppula and Franzen have showed chemistry in the past. That might just work, good call.

I've always been a proponent of this especially if you have the forwards with the ability to do so. Scotty used to do this back in the day by using Fedorov and Yzerman on the points (playing with Murphy and Lidstrom respectively).

Hard to dismantle a line that is playing so well though and the Hossa - Datsyuk - Holmstrom line is playing very well. I think we just need to trust that Hank will start scoring soon. It isn't like he's playing poorly. He's playing well in his own zone and in PK situations.

Man, I love Dan Cleary. Ken Daniels just alluded to this. The guy can do it all. You can put him on a checking line, scoring line, energy line. The guy just works his ass off every shift and he's the kind of guy we love in Detroit. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

Gotta shoot the puck. They just spent the entire PP in the Nashville zone, but only picked up one or two shots. Good puck movement, sure, but you have to shoot the puck. Not a bad PP though.

Just want to give some early props to the Lilja/Lebda pairing. They've been playing some good hockey. Nice PK!

Picked up the win today against the Germans in the IIHF Junior Championship opener. Stopped 16/18 (0.889 save percentage) as the U.S. would go on to win 8-2. He's going to have to pick it up if the U.S. wants to go deep into the tournament when playing the likes of Russia, Canada, etc.

He didn't have a problem with it last season throughout the tailend of the playoffs. He knew what he was getting into when he re-signed.
