Wow. You cannot be serious. If this team flames out in the playoffs three or four years in a row, then we can start talking about mimicking the Pistons. True enough, but I doubt that would make it any less frustrating. To his credit, he doesn't let it get him down and he continues to play his heart out at GR.

I'm sure there are plenty of Swedes out there that would love to play for the Wings. Maybe a guy like Anze Kopitar or someone similar. Basically, any good or great player stuck on a perennial loser.

Interesting topic. Definately not what I expected. I'd choose Zetterberg. Stanley Cup champion, Conn Smythe winner, and the future captain of one of the most storied franchises in NHL history. Can't really beat that, eh?

Yep, it gets depressing when you really start thinking about the prospect of him not being here next season. He reminds me so much of Fedorov in his prime. Big, fast, huge shot, good two-way play. He's a lot of fun to watch. Hopefully, he gets what he came here for and we can all have fond memories of his one season here.
