Time to call it a season, folks. This team is obviously not going anywhere. This site has the worst "the sky is falling" syndrome I've ever seen.
-
Poor Ozzie. He deserved that win. Lots of bad breaks for him.
-
Aww, f***.
-
Well, I about died there.
-
Aww, damn. Nice play by the 'Nucks there.
-
PASHA!!! What a snipe!
-
PP!

He'll win. Though, it is interesting to see all the best '90s captains on one list. Yzerman, Sakic, Messier, Bourque, Lemieux, Stevens....that's a hell of a list.

HUDS! Beautiful set up by Z and a powerful one-timer by Huds. Nice play.
-
Gross.

You know you watch the Red Wings too much when....

Say something positive. I'd love to hear it. Is it even possible for you to do?

They don't award fantasy points for strong play in your own zone.

I feel like Samuelsson has played extremely well early on. He's played well in his own zone which is nothing new and he's on pace for a career best in points. I've even been impressed with his play on the point on the second PP unit. Hopefully, he can keep it up, but I have zero issue with his play so far.

The Jiri Hudler Show. Man, he's looked good lately.

Milan Lucic, Boston Bruins Alex Ovechkin, Washington Capitals Roberto Luongo, Vancouver Canucks Mike Richards, Philadelphia Flyers Shane Doan, Phoenix Coyotes

I didn't know they had professional leagues in Asia. Huh, interesting.

Yep, very nice deal on Holland's part. Now we just have to hope that Filppula's deal works out the same way.

I thought he looked really good last night, especially in his own zone. He made quick decisions and cleared the puck effectively and there is one PK in particular where he played extremely well. He blocked a couple of Souray's one-timers too and barely even flinched which is an accomplishment in itself.

I have to imagine that Babcock will reunite Zetterberg and Datsyuk should Hossa leave next season. I think the lines, minus Hossa, will look something like this: Holmstrom - Zetterberg - Datsyuk Samuelsson - Filppula - Franzen Cleary - Draper - Maltby Hudler - Helm - Leino Lidstrom - Rafalski Kronwall - Stuart Ericsson - Lilja Basically, very similar lines and pairings to what we were featuring in the playoffs last season. I'd like to see a little more grit, but I don't really feel like factoring in trades and free agents, because it's just too hard to predict. So, with what we have, that's what I see happening.

He's doing what a good captain would do. Put the pressure on himself and hope that the team responds to it.
-
Wow. That's hard to believe.
-
If we get '07-'08 Conklin, it would be a push compared to '07-'08 Hasek.

I'll be honest and say that I'm a little embarassed that I have to ask this, but I need a little help in remembering the forward lines and defensive pairings for the three Stanley Cup teams prior to this year, mostly the first two. Part of my ignorance on this subject is because of my age during these championship seasons (7,8, and 12) and the fact that I wasn't really focused on the fourth line matchups as much as I was constantly trying to find #19 on the ice. I'm not asking for any other reason than to satisfy my own curiousity as my understanding of the game is much more advance at age 18 than it was at age 7, 8, and 12. So, can anyone help me out here? I won't even try to remember '97 and '98, but here's my best shot at '02. '02: Fedorov - Yzerman - Shanahan Holmstrom - Larionov - Robataille Maltby - Draper - McCarty Devereaux - Datsyuk - Hull Lidstrom - Olausson Chelios - Fischer Dandenault - Duchesne Hasek - Legace Close?

He's a hard worker, he proved he can steal a game in the playoffs, and he was absolutely hilarious at the parade.
