Potentially playing either of these teams in the WCF makes me nervous...
-
He scored the Stanley Cup winning goal ON HIMSELF for crying out loud! He's notorious for making catastrophic chokes when it matters most.
-
All CBC games are streamed live, and are archived in full for later viewing.

God, comment-makers on cbcsports are some of the most retarded people on the planet. I just encountered someone who claimed, and I quote, "I'm going to state it as fact, [the Ducks have] the best defense in the league hands-down." This statement pained me greatly, for I laughed so hard it made my lungs rip clear out of my ribcage. I think San Jose essentially laying down on the ice and dying last round has gotten to these guys' heads a bit too much. My view on the series? It's the most undisciplined team in the league vs the best penalty kill on the league. Even if Hiller is Brodeur's bastard child and Pronger exposes himself to gamma radiation to become Hulk Pronger, the Ducks are going to be crucified on special teams, particularly when it's key components of their defense that are taking a lot of those penalties. So long as the Wings keep to their game plan and the injuries that seemed to plague Oz in game 4 last round I see them pulling through.

According to CBC at least game one of DET-ANA is going to be on Hockey Night In Canada, and AFAIK the rest will be on TSN. I don't think there'll be any issues finding the games in Canada.
-
I'm amazed there was no Winter Classic footage in the playoff video, especially with Datsyuk's breakaway goal.
-
Why? Malkin already outperforms both of them.
-
This makes me all the more thankful I'm in Canada - our TV back home even has TSN2. That's amazing that they wouldn't show all the playoff games, there'd be riots up here if that happened.
-
You should see what it's actually like in the city itself. The place went ******* nuts after game 4, you'd have thought they won the freaking cup. Also, I'd say bring on the Ducks for sure. Detroit's offense is better than the Sharks and are actually going to bother showing up for games. Test Hiller consistantly and he's gonna crack.

So then why pick Crosby in the first place? If we're simply dividing defensive responsibility into 'Selke finalists' and 'not Selke finalists' give me Malkin or Ovechkin. Both of them have MORE points per season than Crosby and don't offer a heck of a lot on the back end, so if we're in some no-holds-barred fantasy scenario where we're picking one-way forwards isn't it only logical to pick the players with more offensive output? The argument is already being made that it's illogical to not want even more offensive potential, so why should it be logical to argue in favour of taking on the #3 guy when you should be going for #1?

He punched a guy in the ass while he was being pinned down by a teammate. Even Avery hasn't pulled that one to my recollection.
-
He's the kind of guy who seems like he'll go for the paycheck rather than the cap space to make the team around him better, so that right off the bat dosen't lend me to believe he'd work in Detroit's system. Besides, our offense is stacked to high heaven as it is and he dosen't play two-way hockey. It's a moot point.

I believe it's on TSN, dunno about the states.

And so the Pittsburgh media train chugs along for another series. Thankfully I really don't see them going the distance this year. Depending on the seeding matchup they could make it to the ECF but I just don't picture them going any further.

Reminds me of that one Zetterberg goal in game 3. Everyone was on their feet when Commodore embellished his hit behind the net completely oblivious to Zatta being alone in the slot in prime goal-scoring territory. HOSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaa
-
Nash decides that putting himself into the net is just as good as putting the punk into it.
-
The BJs will look up and shout "We tied it!" And Hossa will look down and whisper "No..."

Overall SJ's season wasn't as great as it might initially look. Including OT losses they went something like 17-19 in their last 36. They surged at the start of the season but if they played all 82 games like how they played the last half of the season they wouldn't be anywhere close to the 1st seed. Kinda glad they did though, we dodged a huge bullet drawing Columbus in the first round. Anaheim makes me wary.

lmao, on 4chan's /sp/ board upon being asked what the biggest playoff choke in recent NHL memory is.
-
oh my god, 4chan's sports forum is going NUTS at this, lmao!

lol, there are more guests in their GDT than forum members. The peanut gallery has arrived.

To the Sharks fan forums to witness delicious tears!

Oh god, it's 2006 all over again! Schadenfreude is awesome when you're not on the receiving end of it D:

DUCKS SCORE AGAIN. My god, between this and the Washington-NY series the hockey world is falling apart.
