I always get disorientated whenever they switch the camera angle in those broadcasts. Your mind has to reprocess information every time the angle switches, it's like the mental version of a car lurching between gear shifts. At the very least they use angles close to the actual action. That Wings-Blues game a week or so ago had a few occasions where action at one end of the rink was being filmed from an angle at the OPPOSITE END OF THE ICE! What the hell kind of a useless angle is that, it was like watching the game from a corner seat in the upper bowl.

I think they did that during an all-star game a few years back.

Why does it have to be at a famous stadium? Commonwealth Stadium isn't well-known, they still hosted an outdoor game there. The fact still remains that the layouts don't correspond to one another at all.

I've said this before, but WHY IN GOD'S NAME wouldn't you use a football stadium for an outdoor hockey game? A baseball diamond's layout makes no sense, there's no seat in that arena that isn't going to be at some near-unwatchable angle to the ice.

At least they're proper shoulder patches this time. The iron-on s*** they use for their other jerseys is inexcusable.

Hurf durf, I get what you mean now Overall I'm happy. Would have been BEST if they went with the original winged-wheel jersey (with the smaller logo/larger wheel) but it's s***loads better than the candy-cane ones they used in 1991-2. Just wish they didn't have the winged wheel logos on the shoulders, kinda tarnishes the vintage look.

There's no stretch here as to what Palin is trying to pull off, arguing that it isn't a political stunt because she isn't EXPLICITLY giving a speech is frankly rather naive. Believe it or not, political candidates have campaign devices at their disposal that go beyond standing behind a podium.

Palin's entire strategy for popular appeal IS the 'hockey mom' approach. Separating the two - particularly during a federal election race - is impossible.

I think Philly's reaction to Palin was second only to that dildo attack during that game in Sweden and *just* ahead of Bill Wirtz' funerary memorial in greatest moments of en-masse hockey booing in recent memory. The fact that they had to throw in canned applause and increased the volume of the music to try and drown it out was just the icing on the cake. The bar's been raised high for St. Louis but I really don't think that they're going to be able to pull it off.

Awesome, sucks that it's going to be slapped onto these friggin' EDGE jerseys though. Might need to shell out the bucks for an authentic one, those replicas feel like they're made out of tissue paper or something.

Damn, if I didn't hate the EDGE system so much I'd get one of those Boston jerseys. My dad is a Boston fan and I've kinda adopted them as my 'Eastern' team in recent years.
