In the 2006-07 season I saw people with Detroit Bertuzzi jerseys when the Wings played at Vancouver. If that wasn't a jersey bust I don't know what is, Bert wasn't even playing in that game because he was still recuperating from that back injury.

What's with these awful fake-as-hell CGI intros for Canadian hockey coverage this season? Both CBC and TSN have abysmal-looking intros.

I think instead of a 3rd jersey it would be neat if Detroit used their old 'inverted' winged wheel on one of their jerseys. Similar to how Toronto has a white logo for home and a blue one for away.

My brother and mom are both registered flyers, we even got a plane a couple months ago. Now we can get anywhere we want fast, provided we need to go anywhere in southern Alberta... :X Most times when I go up with one or both of them, the plane is rocked about by turbulence so hard it feels like the plane is about to flip right over. This, apparently, is 'negligible' turbulence for flying a small four-seater prop plane. Ugh...

Conklin was a bit jeckyl-and-hyde earlier in the game. He very nearly made an identical giveaway to that one from game 1 of the Oilers-Hurricanes final.

Nope, I tried that and almost half of tonight's games weren't avaliable, particularly fustrating given that CBC usually covers two Eastern games at once but only shows one depending on your region. So while only the Toronto-Montreal game was being broadcast where I was, both that and the Ottawa-Wings game were blocked from Gamecenter. But hey, you can watch up to four Southeast/various sunshine teams play instead, oh boy! Good thing they did this free weekend thing, now I know just to use myp2p again this year and save my money. And for the record, if you're like me and constantly pissed off that HNIC is covering yet another Leafs blowout instead of that exciting-sounding Sens or Habs game, they have live streams on cbcsports.ca. It was the only way I was able to watch tonight's Wings game.

I don't know if that's supposed to be sarcastic or what, but the Sabres, Sharks, NY Islanders, Lightning, and Stars kinda beat them to the punch on that.

I really don't know whether I should speak my full mind about these, because I could probably write a full term paper on it. Instead of a detailed report on precisely just how much bile is being produced in the back of my throat, I think the Angry Videogame Nerd sums it up best: What were they THINKING?!

I did, actually. I'm in a ridiculously large fantasy pool - 16 people - so after three rounds of picks it starts becoming a matter of picking whoever has the coolest remaining name since the players start getting so mediocre. I have people on my bench I've never even heard of before, all of us are screwed if any of our players get injured.

This forum is useful in the sense that I can get information about the team that I, living on the other end of the continent, probably wouldn't have quite as easy a time of acquiring without. The rollercoaster exaggerations people make on it are an unfortunate byproduct of what otherwise has been a decent source of information. Media critics are useless in the sense that their opinions can simply be bought and ergo are by definition untrustworthy in what they support and reject. In other news, Bertuzzi just scored. My joke pick from my fantasy draft (everyone in my pool made one - one guy even picked Sundin lol) might not be as entirely useless as once thought.

Good thing I rarely hold much weight in the opinions of media critics because sure enough, their criticism IS useless. Anyone can be paid off enough to say a movie/game/book is good, and I've found myself suckered into enough duds on account of 'critical acclaim' to be suspicious of most of it.

I like how people can't spew out enough overexaggerated BS about a single freaking hockey game yet this is almost entirely left uncommented.

Granted it's a leak (note the misspelling of Lecavalier), but these are supposedly coming from a mole who works at Reebok and so far every leak he's sent out has been pretty much dead-on, so there's about a 95% chance that this is the Lightning's new jersey. Not QUITE as bad as the Haw- Thrashers' thirds, but I really, REALLY hope you liked last year's All-Star Game jerseys. I'd expect numbers to be on the front of the jersey as well given that their regular ones do. Oh, and the uselessly small 'Tampa Bay' on the ass is a nice touch too. According to rumor the Senators are doing a very similar thing for their 3rds (infuriatingly frustratingly ignoring the officially-designed 'merchandise' profile-senator logo that's been floating around). Do these franchises have an art and design department? I have some threatening letters to write, but the sheer lack of imagination is making me think it doesn't actually exist.
