it can go 2 ways, on one hand you can have an in-expereinced ready to be swept 4 games straight team due to what ever experience lack of confidence ect ect, on the other you can have a team very excited and ready to give it everything imagine a whole team of Darren Helms good lord thats a lot of energy and drive with plenty of determination coming at you. I think the question should be... which unknown goal tender are the wings going to make look like an all star this spring and will they beat him? ( sure would be nice if Jimmy Howard could play that card in the spring)

I think this is a very important week for this team in the standings as we play nashville pheonix and dallas all ahead of us in the standings all within a few points, sure would be great to win them all outright (no 3 point games) and make a push in the standings.

I think Lidstrom is a humble man and knows his worth to this team and around the league. He wasnt the best last year he wont be the best this year either and Im sure next season he will take a pay cut how much Im not sure maybe make just slightly more than Zetterberg, to make the captain the highest paid guy on the team. Once his contract is in place they will work on the rest of the team, dont be surprised if his contract extension is silently being worked on in the new year and anounced around or before the trade deadline or playoffs.

The guy that 1st came to mind was Alexandre Daigle but then I realised the article was for the past decade so I guess hes out but if you wikipedia this guy there were rumors that Quebec wanted to trade Forsberg and Hextal for the 1st rounder that year. Wow what a trade that would have been after Daigle was a total bust and retired at 25 to pursue an acting career.

cant see Detroit getting him for anyone who is hopeful, he would have to be traded and if he was I would be afraid of a guy like that turning around and shutting the door on his old team in the playoffs. (if they met) He is a former superstar goalie still young still capable and would probably get traded to the east if he were to be traded.

15000 - 20 000 people in a full building watching these guys, skate around sweating out their flu germs into the air.
