I would like to see some minor changes. Id like to see an old man on the team sort of like last years Drake. Someone like Peca or dare I say Roberts? (hey he brings fire) I havn't heard any Shanahan talk lately he would be an interesting grab around the trade deadline for any team, far better than a Claude Lemieux experiment if you ask me. Id also like to see them aquire a goaltender who has been around for a long time that would be sent to the minors. If Osgood or Conklin went down id rather have a veteran goaltender back them up instead Jimmy Howard IN THE PLAYOFFS. I think this team can do without Kopecky they did fine without him last year in the playoffs. Id be willing to let go of Meech as well to make something happen to get a veteran forward.

The last few nights the wings have run into 2 teams that have played this trap style game and they lost both of them. Having 5 guys clogging the blue line isn't exactly fun to watch or play against. However the more they play against it the better they will be at breaking through it. Trap hockey gets popular in the playoffs so practice makes perfect. May the best team win when it matters most.

Franzen is kinda injury prone I wonder if that will have anything to do with managements decisions. Franzen has been scoring when he is playing it looks like he will have a good year and if he has another playoff like last year wow he sure will make things difficult for management the decision is already hard enough. I really like Franzen he is Detroits own they drafted him molded him taught him coached him and watched him develop sure would be hard to let him go to free agency. Hossa is doing a lot of good things and really filling up the net here I say we enjoy this while we have it and worry about this stuff after the playoffs.
