As I posted earlier in this thread, Ozzie's going to be in studio on Jim Rome's TV show today. Rome has said hockey players are his favorite interviews, and he did a great job interviewing Nick the day after the team won the cup. The show airs at 4:30 eastern on ESPN. Watch this if you want to see a TV appearance that won't be cheesy

I'm not sure if this has been asked here yet, but what day are the awards for the season handed out? (Such as Selke, Hart, Bing, etc.) Is it going to be broadcast on any tv stations you guys know of? Thanks.

Yea I agree with that. 1-0 games are exciting when each team is getting plenty of chances and nothing seems to go in. I was pretty young when I was watching most games on ESPN with Gary Thorne, so I don't remember any bias he had toward the Avalanche. All I remember is he made the game exciting with his calls and he didn't seem like a complete buffoon. I can still remember his call when Yzerman made that top-shelf 2nd OT winner from the blue line against the Blues in game 7.

Penalties aside, I'm tired of hearing about how the game needs more scoring. More goals doesn't translate to more excitement, just increased celebration of goals. In games where a ton of goals are scored, celebration mellows with each goal (unless the game is close). 1-0 games are some of the most exciting games around, to me anyway.

I'd probably have had one for a few years now, but I wanted the official jersey, and with me going off to college there wasn't a lot of money in the budget So excited to get it soon though

Some people just can't dance He's been my favorite player on the team for a while (and in the league), and I'm getting the jersey sometime. My parents ordered it online for my 21st birthday, but it hasn't come yet

So many of the guys who were struggling or looking out of it during the regular season really stepped it up in the playoffs. I'd put Draper, Maltby, Drake, Samuelsson, Lebda, and maybe even Lilja on that list. All of those guys were considerably better when it counted. Helm was also fantastic and showed some resolve coming back from two plays where it looked like his knee could be badly injured.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Penguins take a 3-0 lead in all 3 of their previous series?

Perfect game from the Wings tonight. If they play like that the rest of the series it will likely go our way. Great to see Samuelsson and Cleary both score goals, with Zetterberg tying Mule for the playoff lead in goals (only took 6 more games )

I remember that series the best, although I was only 10 when it happened. Still a very powerful thing to see.
