Is it just me, or is Malkin really weak on the puck? I lost track of the number of times he had it knocked off his stick. I remember that happening frequently in last year's finals as well.

Awesome! Have fun! I'll try to make it to games 3, 4, and 6 (if necessary) for Joe Vision. I'm too poor to pay for a ticket to a game right now, though. The $60 I paid for my ticket to the game against the Rangers this season was tough enough to afford!

Ericsson had an appendectomy, right? I had one of those about 10 months ago and I couldn't walk right for a week! I can't imagine playing a hockey game 4 or 5 days after having that surgery. -
He was so calm in that post-game interview. Even if I was a pro hockey player, I'd probably be going nuts if I just scored an OT goal to send my team to the SCF. Poise from a 21 (or is he 22 now) year old? Awesome guy.

Yes, I like it. Far fewer phantom hooking calls. That said, certain teams commit more penalties than others, and it's rough when that isn't reflected in terms of penalty minutes.

In a grander scheme sense, how about Ken Holland picking up just Stuart in the last couple trade deadlines? That deal has been essential to strengthening the defensive depth. Without picking up Stuart last year, yesterday's D would've relied very heavily on Lebda and Chelios instead of Stuart, Kronwall, Raf, and E. Not to mention, the D in the last two playoffs would rely more heavily on Lebda and he doesn't bring many of the things that Stuart does.

Holmstrom can probably take Jake Ryan's trash talk. After all, he takes 50 cross checks to the lower back every game in the name of getting to the front of the net and screening the goalie for the chance to score a garbage goal; or screen the goalie for a goal that would be completely stoppable if it weren't for his efforts.

Obviously a big win with Datsyuk and Lidstrom out. Stuart and Kronwall were both great. I hope Babcock keeps playing Fil with Hossa. They've worked well together.
