Haha, Village Pourhouse is usually a zoo. I've gone there many times and you usually can't even move through the crowd. Never been to Hells Kitchen though.

I moved here in January for an internship. Likely moving back to MI for the summer - leaving this weekend. I'd be up for catching the Thursday and potential Saturday game(s). I live on the Upper East side .. not sure of bars that will be showing the game, though I've heard there are Michigan-themed bars in the NYU area.

Sharks back up by 1. Wings aren't likely to be able to keep Conklin on the team next season, regardless of where Hossa signs. Probably going to call up Larsson or Howard. Every team has two goaltenders, and many of the backups who see limited action because of the 50-60 game starters aren't exactly slouches, and they often come cheap.
-
I mean someone more like Conklin. Not a superstar (or rookie who had a great season and will, therefore, implode next season), but someone who can win enough games to keep the team in good position.
-
What about getting a second viable goaltender and giving Nabokov some rest during the regular season? He's generally used far too much in the regular season. It seems few goalies are able to start 60+ games and perform at a top level in the playoffs. Many successful goalies in the playoffs are either rookies playing out of their mind, or guys who pretty much evenly split their regular season duties with their "backup."

Parros and his 'stache went to Princeton? Stupid goon!
-
Versus showing why they're superior at covering hockey!
-
I heard that too (on the first one I mean, in case they did it on both). 2-2. This game is wild.
-
First lead of the series. Interested to see where this will lead.

hmmthesharks, I assume the same as the user on sjsharks board Tonight's game should be one that really reveals the Sharks players' character.
-
Stuart, much like the majority of the team, had a mistake-plagued regular season but, like so many others, has stepped it up in the playoffs (again). Glad we signed him last summer.

I'm sure there's someone who likes the "intent to blow the whistle" rule. Please explain why you think it's a good idea. I think it's far too subjective and impossible to prove. Why should that be used to determine when a goal is/isn't waived when there's ample video replay showing the puck constantly in motion and eventually going in the net?

Is this CBC play-by-play guy drunk? In reference to a stoppage in play, "A two line pass will bring it back." He also repeatedly referred to Thornton as Pronger and made some other strange comment going into a TV timeout which I've forgotten.
-
I was so glad to see him get up and start swinging after getting ridden into the ice tonight, not just because he showed his fire, but also because he wasn't hurt on that play. He got his head smashed into the ice pretty hard; dangerous play.

That Samuelsson killed me. HAhaaha

Haha, yes. I love that picture. Pens win in OT.

5 on 3 in overtime... *pining for "old" NHL when you couldn't get a penalty in OT without murdering someone.*
-
Insert obligatory Holmstrom interference .jpg - see "Butt over edge of crease" and "Stick between goalie's pads." Biron with his best Hasek impression. Not quite as much flipping, though.
-
At least one of the penalties on that play got called. I don't understand the double standards that apply to goaltender interference. It's sort of discouraging.
-
Fleury gives up some Welch's-worthy rebounds. Flyers should capitalize by now.

Can't get enough of Mellon Arena's Guitar Hero soundtracks - Must be paying royalties to Activision since the songs in those games are the only ones I've heard pumping out of their arena speakers since last year. Fantastic sig Doggy.

Attaboy, Kopecky. Drawing the ire of opposing coaches and Red Wings fans at the same time!

I hate popsicles. Something about them always being on wooden sticks, I feel like I'm at the doctor's office getting checked for strep throat. I do, however, like beer. And playoff hockey. But not Versus, since none of these games are being streamed on NHL GameCenter :flamingmad:

That was a pretty setup. Ducks up 1-0 on a PPG
