I'd say he is pretty defensively dominant, even though it's not his "primary" role. He's out there all the time against the other team's top lines, and his +/- speaks to his ability to not only shut them down, but score on them.

He mentioned in an interview that he was hitting more in the playoffs because.. it's the playoffs. The intensity ramps up. He still only took 3 penalties total in the playoffs anyway (over a span of 22 games). That's only about 20-24 PIM through an 82 game regular season. He had 20 PIM in this year's regular season.

Agreed, Dom was unprecedented and likely will not be passed. (Only 6 goalies have won the Hart in its 84 years of being handed out. Had to look that one up ).

He speaks it pretty well, but I think he's just nervous. I learned German and took a lot of classes, but I'd always get nervous trying to speak it in front of people, especially people who speak it as their native language.

yea, that was a great interview. Rome always seems to be well-informed and asks great questions. For those of you who may have missed it, I think the show is replayed at 5:30 eastern on ESPNEWS. maybe not though. I assumed they'd replay it since they replay around the horn and PTI an hour after they air. Maybe they re-show it from 8-10 eastern on his "final burns" which I think is on ESPNEWS.
