Mrazek has had a few go in late which is kinda deflating his numbers (like last game when we were up 5-1 then it ended 5-3. But I think Howard's had a few go in late like that too so whatever. they are both playing well, that's all that matters. Didn't see this til after I posted. Sorry I guess. Are we allowed to post what we think about the lines in the GDT? Or should every post those in a designated 'lines thread'?

I was giving more examples of Howard's poor puck handling that happened more recently than 'a couple years ago' It's already been explained why this is different. I'm not going over them again.

Or the one against Boston in the playoffs, or the one where he hurt his groin trying to get back in the net then came back and sucked the rest of the year... or the fact that Mrazek can help defend the against opposition dump ins like he's been doing all night while Howard can't.

Mrazek has a history of handling the puck well while Howard, well doesn't to say the least (though he's been better this season). As others have said, that's the risk of having a puck playing goalie. Though I'm not letting him off the hook for that. There was no need to come out and play that.

I loved seeing Zetterberg, before Nyquist scored but after the pass from Petr, coming back down the ice on that play with his hands in the air celebrating already.

Except he did put in the extra work to return to form. I mean didn't he pretty much say as much in an FSD interview? Why was he doing it then? I don't understand....

Right, he put in a ton of extra work this summer and it's just happenstance that it came the season after he lost his starting job in the playoffs. It's not unfair to make that connection.

Who's saying he doesn't making big-time saves? His problem was that he would make big saves and then let in a stinker at the most inopportune times. His play this year has been markedly better. Probably because he put in so much work this off-season. I just don't understand why he needed to almost lose his job to start putting in the work to improve his playing when he should have been doing that all along.

I can't believe we have double the shots of the other team!
