In a related story, Howard is in the top 30 starting goalies (Really? Top Seven? not like 3 or 4) No seriously he been good this year, but juts imagine how much better he would look with a few more wins tacked on from the shootout -

I don't know what it is, but it seems like the team scores a little more when he's in net. With Howie it seems like we're scoring maybe 2-3 goals a game (if that), whereas with Petr it seems like we're scoring 3-4. Maybe I'll try and find some numbers tmrw. I don't really know if I feel like adding up all of howie's games for the season or if I should just take a random sample (match as many games as Petr has played, 20 GP 15 GS). I don't know.

I hope Mrazek does well cuz you guys all know how much I've been ragging on Howard (Whose been playing a hell of a lot better I'll gladly admit). He is still a rookie though so that has to be kept in mind when judging his performances, but I think he'll be fine as he gets more consistent starts.

In all honesty if he could pass the puck he never would have put himself in that position. He had a guy on either side of the net open for a pass and he left it behind for the opposing player to pick up.

If you stop freedom of speech at what offends people then you no longer have freedom of speech. Offense is taken, not given. People don't have a right to not be offended. Mohammad was a pedophile who raped a 9 year old girl But he's oh so sacred that he can't be depicted. You can't force someone else to to follow the rules of a religion they aren't a part of. -
I know, I went in there expecting a bloodbath only to find a civil discussion. It's a disscusion board, let people have a discussion. I'm mean sure, if it turns into a omnivore vs vegetarianism fight in an Osgood thread that's off topic. But comparing '2008 Osgood' to '2008 other goalie' in a "2008 Osgood" thread doesn't really merit a pre-empive warning with all the bells and whistles.

AGAIN...I'm not saying I liked it on the play I'm saying I like it in his style in general. Plus he's young and I'm more prone to give him the benefit of the doubt that he'll improv over time (unlike Howard who is almost 31 and in his 6th year as a starter). If he hasn't improved in 5 years then I'll be as hard on him as I am on Howard.

Of course it should be accounted for. And I never said he didn't overplay it, I just liked the aggresiveness of his style.

Yeah it certainly looked bad, but I like the agressiveness. Plus it was early in the period; clean sheet of ice means he's gonna slide farther. If it was Howard I'd be upset.

God Mick is so ******* annoying... He sure seems to think so, but I really doubt it. I could see if it was punched or swatted in, But to me, if it just happens to hit a hand and go in, it should be like it hitting any other body part.

I hooked up my N64 2 weeks ago. One of the few games that worked was WCW/NWO Revenge. What a great game.
