How many times am I going to have to hear "Ericsson's shot is blocked!"??? It was like that all last year too! Is he intentionally shooting the puck at defenders? Would it be too much to ask to take a peak at whats in front of you before you shoot? -

Ericsson just flat out sucks. He honestly looks like those kids in pee wee hockey that are afraid to have to puck on their stick so as soon as they get it they just do something stupid. -
The entire roster for the regular season is pretty much set with the exception of a four guys battling for two fourth line spots, and you're bitching about Downey playing on the fourth line in a preseason game?

Has anybody told Eklund that there is a salary cap in the NHL? Kovie seems dead set on getting $10 mil a year and we have like what, $6 million in space (I dont know I didnt check so dont hate me). how the hell does he expect this to happen?

well everybody knows that he's the reason why they're getting picked again so I think the discussion is warranted.

this is the biggest problem when trying to expand the game and get new fans. None of the casual fans understand what is/isn't a penalty, so they watch players do certain things all game and all of a sudden it gets called a penalty. and when the announcers (i.e VS) don't explain the call or why it was called, then they just turn the channel.

Not to mention that when most of these cheapshot crosschecks were happening the puck had already been cleared to the other end of the ice with only 3 or 4 seconds left in the game. so there was no need for crosby to be "battling for position" at a time like that.
