My quote was "various HsOF", if you look. Since I am more familiar with Canton and Cooperstown, those came to mind.

Larry Csonka, NFL Hall. Over 1000 yards only 3 times in 11 years, not even top-30 all-time in rushing. Roger Wherli, NFL Hall. Only started 66 career games, of about 200 played. Paul Hornung, NFL Hall. Only 3711 total yards in 9 years, in a rush-heavy league. Joe Namath, NFL Hall. 173 TDs, 220 INTs. 177th all-time in passer rating. Made it in on the Super Bowl III guarantee. Ray Schalk, MLB Hall. 11 HR, 594 RBI in 18 years, lifetime BA of .253. Rick Ferrell, MLB Hall. 19 seasons, averaged 2 HR, 63 RBI. There's a half-dozen. Running off to clinic, or I'd dig through the NHL Hall. If those guys can get in, Homer has a shot.

Pretty much the same, here. With some of the bizarre moves various HsOF have made, Homer would be surprising, but not as bad as some.

The Joe is about as close to a perfect arena for watching a game as I've ever been in. I've been in the very last row of the upper bowl, to the point I put the back of my head into the concrete below the press box, and I could still see great. That was game 5 of the '08 WCF against Dallas. The only one that comes really close was the old Sports Arena, the home of the Toledo Storm. Right on top of the action, small arena, overall perfect.
-
Excellent work. I just wish the arena would be where the Joe sits- it's too perfect a location for those of us coming up 75.
-
Maybe he'll go for the Disney model. Miramax and Pixar are owned by Disney, but are operationally separate entities. Would make sense- splitting an arena makes it so it's a mediocre NHL and NBA arena, instead of having 2 good ones.

Interesting. Sad that it likely means the end of Lilja's run, but Salei looks like the same player.
-
From what I've seen, the one thing he needs is strength training. Give him some time with the strength coach in Toledo or GR, and you could probably put 20 pounds of iron on the kid. Franzen did similar when he was rehabbing that knee. If anything, he came back stronger than when the season started.

Sportsk has RBK Premiers for $128, any player. Edge jerseys are $245, any player.

As they should. 1 mistake when you face 14 shots is a save percentage of 0.928. 1 mistake in 28 is 0.964. Same GAA, sharply different save percentage.

Wool, please. Old wool, warm and soft. Digital or analog watch?
-
All I can say to that blogger:
-
Turco? That guy who's won one playoff game at the Joe in his career? Perfect fit!
-
Toe. A bit tongue drives me crazy. Disney World or Cedar Point?
-
Never touched the stuff, tobacco or otherwise. TPBM prefers metal watchbands over leather.
-
As he should be. 3 runs to the Finals with a Cup thrown in, I don't see a challenger.
-
Fries, crisp, please. Pen or pencil?
-
*returns hug* Thanks. Nope. Shiny IKEA chair. Love this thing. TPBM likes dark chocolate more than milk chocolate.
-
Already there. TPBM has failed an exam they thought they nailed.
-
Not I. TPBM is bored as hell with the offseason.
-
Drops. Nachos or soft pretzels?
-
3 Selkes for Pavs.

A game. He had a stretch of 20+ games where he did not see the ice. Last I checked, that's not "getting a start to prove himself" and more "let's shut up the Howard haters".
-
It's true. A line of Hudler-Cleary-Modano could be phenomenal. Do we need Modano? No. Would he make what we have better? Yes.
-
Movie's enough, might smuggle in a can of a pop they don't have and some M&Ms. Upper bowl, or lower bowl?
