*salute* Good luck and Godspeed to a true Red Wing. No matter what befalls, Wing Nation has your back.

That it is. Wonder what would happen if Detroit gave 99 to some scrub forward who plays all of 2 minutes?
-
Yeah, but if we're going to play, may as well play big. Just some numbers to play with... Patrick Roy, first full season with the Canadiens- 23-18-3, 3.35 GAA, 0.875 save percentage. Marc-Andre Fleury, first full season with the Penguins- 13-27-6, 3.25 GAA, 0.898 save percentage. Nikolai Khabibulin, first full season with the Jets- 26-20-3, 3.13 GAA, 0.908 save percentage. He's doing better than those three.

Strong words. Detroit hasn't had a Vezina winner since Terry Sawchuk, '54-'55.

Never heard of EMS. However, can't argue with results.

Kronwall wasn't stuck with a depleted Wings squad around him. They're asking Ericsson to play first-line minutes as a rookie. Franzen, Filppula, Williams, Kronwall and Lilja. We're missing essentially a complete second line, and a second or third defensive pairing. That's a lot of pressure to put on him.

I used the contact link on jerseys0917 and got a reply quite quickly. I just might pick up a Datsyuk jersey for my wife off there. I figure that the real thing is made in Malaysia, Indonesia or China as it is, this just keeps me from lining the NHL's pockets heavily. How long do they take to ship?

Title says it all. I'm prepared to say I was wrong on Howard, at least as it appears. 7-4-1 with a 2.56 GAA and an excellent 0.907 save percentage. He's looking great out there, and if he manages a little more rebound control, he could be a future starter, or at least a 1a for this team. 28th in save percentage, but 10th if you put him against other backups. 17th overall for GAA, 6th amongst backups. 22nd in wins, 5th among backups. Excellent numbers, and possibly a diamond we've been waiting on. Good work, Jimmy!

Try to drink a half-gallon daily- keeps my BP in check. TPBM is going to the game on Thursday.

I'll take some, too! We hosted Thanksgiving with just my parents over, but 4 people can put the hurts on a 12 pound turkey pretty fast. All our leftovers are gone.

Run Windows Update- it should get your drivers in line. I installed 7 on a 5 year old laptop, and it found all my drivers once I gave it a wired connection.

Sports photographers are a tough breed. I was one in high school, know a little of what this guy sees. This is just a freaky injury, though. Getting tackled is something you expect. Having a foul tip break my cup was a surprise, but not unexpected. This is a million-to-one shot.

The NHL.com writeup says 10,310 were there, but I doubt it- that would have the place more than half full.

Exactly. As the lines are going right now, Datsyuk doesn't have a shooter next to him. Holmstrom isn't meant to be a shooter, and never really has been one. That's fine. I don't expect him to be. The problem is Bertuzzi. When he can pull the moves like he did in the shootout, he's perfect for that line- a bigger Franzen. However, when his shots aren't going in, there's the problem. Datsyuk can set him up, but nothing happens. Going the other way, Bertuzzi isn't the kind of passer to set Datsyuk up. Ideal is Datsyuk with Zetterberg, then either Cleary or Holmstrom, as the roster currently stands. If you need Zetterberg and Cleary on another line, maybe Holmstrom and Leino or Helm would do the job.
-
You're crazy. I compared my Helm custom from Sportsk with my Chelios and my wife's Cleary, and they're stitch for stitch the same.
-
Not a spot, and I even cooked much of it. TPBM wants some of my orange pepper-brine turkey.

If the playoffs started right this second, Detroit would miss, but they're a win tonight away from 5th. Considering their injures, they're right where they should be. Once guys start returning, we're going to see a slow rise to the top, as usual.

Remove the front Br-, and you'll see it. Try sad and set.

You can tell he's fighting like hell the instinct to use nicknames for players, though.

Got a '43 Walking Liberty half in my wallet for just such an occasion. Hard fudge or soft fudge?
-
If Detroit were to go old-school, leave the candycane sweater behind. Hate that thing.
-
Second-degree sprain, you're talking 2 weeks. Not a major problem.

*pours out a shot for his fallen comrade*

Huh? How has Detroit played another Original-6 team only 10 times?
-
May got hosed. That is all.
