And you don't have an assist without a goal. Doesn't matter to me if a player has nothing but secondary assists, as long as the points are there. -

Leino is the cheap 3/4 line signing. Splitting Z and Dats simply doesn't do either justice.

Give Conk a raise to 1M, leaves roughly 1.25M. Pick up Vernon Fiddler or Stephan Yelle, either for 1M. Could possibly get Travis Moen for that money.

With Hossa gone, why in hell are you axing half the team? Conk, Sammy and Hudler could easily be re-signed, with keeping the Aces.
