Not bad. Good scorer, good defensive upside.

It's started. Isles took a 6'5" goalie.

Wings Trade thier first round pick to Tampa

Where did you learn metric? It's 10mm to a cm, and your "mistake" example is off by 4.2mm, not 42. A more precise way of saying that height would be 6'7/8", off by 1mm. Of course, you beg for me to turn it around. My father is 6'0". That's 183cm in metric, despite the same error of 1.2mm. -

You mean that using an easily recognizable trio of a grown man's foot, the width of a thumb and length from arm to nose makes less sense than using one ten-millionth the distance from equator to pole, a distance which the French had no way to empirically measure precisely and ended up off by a full 2km? -

TSN says 5'10". Eurohockey.net says 5'8". Wikipedia says 5'8". NHL.com says 5'10". Hockeysfuture.com says 5'9". Where are you seeing 5'11"? -

"Looks" is key. I'm betting Holland and Co. know something. -

You're missing the point. Rajala is small. Detroit has enough smallish to medium-size forwards in the pipeline that one more will do no good. A bigger guy like Klingberg stands out. -

Of that pair, Klingberg. Rajala is smaller than Hudler, even. Klingberg is projected as the next Mule. -

Ditto. *growl* What pick does Detroit get, this year, or next? -
If Hossa wants 6M a year cap hit, he's gone. No way can they take another long-term heavy contract like that.
-
A salute to a superb defenseman, and a vet with a physical training regimen I'd love to get my hands on! My sole jersey as yet, worn with pride. A warrior like that deserves respect.
-
I'd rather see Hossa walk, fill in with GR guys (Helm and Ericsson at a minimum), and maybe look at Beauchemin off Anaheim.
-
*salute* Success wherever you go, Iron Man.
-
Groggy, yes. Stiff, no. TPBM has a car trunk that is full of random stuff.
-
It doesn't say why the offer was rejected. It could have been that Sammy wanted to see a longer term, or wait to see who else is reupping their contracts.
-
Yeah, and Hasek at least still had the potential. Much as I hate to say it, Manny doesn't.
-
Fries. Hate the tapeworm-like texture onions get when battered and fried. Pepsi or Coke?
-
Lapierre, Neil and Bouwmeester would be interesting moves. I don't want anything to do with Dandenault, Bertuzzi or Legacé.
-
Pass. TPBM has a watch on.
-
Yeah, and Babe Ruth would down 3 hot dogs with the works and wash it down with beer before every game. It's what works for the player. Cal Ripken Jr. was pretty much vegetarian on game days, while some guys won't play without a steak. Holmstrom's injuries stem more from his style of play. He gets hit with so many pucks (and players) that you have to expect him to get hurt more often.
-
I'd rather the depth. Look at the Finals- Hossa did nothing, our depth was what took it to game 7, third period.
-
Rafalski, Stuart, Draper, Maltby, Holmstrom and Filppula

Pretty much. Babs said late in the season that Ericsson would have been up in 07-08 if he'd been able to bring him up. Considering Meech still had some ability to go down, it must have been Holland. -
So trade a performer now for someone who might be in 5 years?
-
Trade of that magnitude, it's the good stuff.
-
I'd say Yzerman, Hull, Robitaille and Bure.
