Lots of thought to go into this. We'll see. Might be a gift to have waiting after my first rotation.

Send emails. Forward the email lists to other fans. There is still time!
-
Start writing emails.

They'd get sued. No responses yet from phone messages or emails.

It was about 10,000 when my wife went to one in 02.

Yeah, the Jumbotron.

The NBCuni address now bounces.

Trust me, if I go vintage, it will be period correct. Still can't find when they started putting names on.
-
The email for Kathy Connors bounces as undeliverable.

Everybody reading this, fire up your email and start sending complaints to NBC. Be respectful, but be heard!

She's not embellishing. I got my last cortisone shot in my shoulder when I was boxing in high school, and that thing hurt for about 2 hours afterward.

Thank you for the help, ClassyPensFan. You live up to your name. Might we spread this campaign to the the Pens board? It would help both sides if we came together on this.

Eight sent and counting.

I just sent a polite email to Jeff Zucker, president of NBC Entertainment. Text follows. Dear Mr. Zucker, Today, I learned that in a disturbing break with tradition, the Joe Louis Arena will not be permitted to air their "Joe Vision" event during Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final. I find this highly disappointing, and confusing from a business aspect. Joe Vision has been a longstanding tradition at the arena, where fans who could not otherwise attend road playoff games have an option to attend a viewing of the game, and celebrate with the team. NBC gains viewers, the fans gain an opportunity to cheer their team to victory, and everyone wins. This year, I am told that NBC has chosen not to allow this event. As puzzling as it is, I abide by your decision. I will not watch Game 6 at the arena. However, your decision has made a decision for me as well. From now on, NBC will not be viewed in my home. In a world where viewer numbers and advertising revenue is king, I do not wish to be counted as a viewer of a station that will not offer even this basic courtesy. I thank you for your time.

I have done the same. Very clean, no profanity or even identifiable emotion, just simply that by doing this they are costing themselves viewers, not only now, but in the future.

Why can't they use CBC?

If they were cortisone shots, I very much sympathize. At least back in the mid-90s (and the early 60s when my dad blew both knees playing football), the needle was the size of a ballpoint pen refill. Hurts something fierce.

If anyone else read my notations in my Step 1 review book, they'd think I was insane. Example: In the section on SSRIs, a common class of antidepressants, I have as clarification for the "Sexual dysfunction" side effect the phrase "Frustrated Superman".

Very good advice. McCarty is up there out of sheer respect for what he's gone through, and what he brings to the locker room. Helm for energy and the sheer joy of being a Wing. Sawchuk for the life of 4s- 4 Cups, 4 Vezinas, 400+ wins and 400+ stitches in his face. Got to respect that. Gordie is in there because, well, he's still the man.

The theory is simple. Cold keeps down swelling, so freezing his foot would help make it easier to play. It was probably something as simple as a bucket of ice water, if they did ice it out. It won't help much, though- the R in RICE is Rest. Icing an injury then moving it won't help.

Velma. Smart, attractive, and pretty strong- how many times did she carry the whole gang at a run? In the same vein: Fred. Was he ***, or just clueless that Daphne wanted him?
