Just to head off some of the negative threads that come up after losses... The Wings will be fine. They played overall pretty well, just got caught with some bad bounces and some bad turnovers. Draft day gurus? How this stat? Of the 15 players on the Red Wings roster that they drafted, 8 of those were from pick #100 or worse. In the list? Holmstrom (257th), Datsyuk (171st), Zetterberg (210th), Helm (132nd), Quincey (132nd), Ritola (103rd), Meech, (229th) and Ericsson (291st). Sitting after 90th pick are Franzen (97th), Filppula (95th). Average draft position for the Wings is 129.1. For Pittsburgh, their lowest pick is Talbot at 215th. Average draft position for the Penguins is 61.2. I'd say the Red Wings are definitely gurus of the low draft, while Pittsburgh has had a very long run of very high picks.

That's exactly what it sounds like. Putting my psych knowledge to work, he's not embellishing. In the vast majority of cases, the eyes tend to drift up when a person is fabricating or embellishing a story, but Babcock's are steady. I'd say Franzen's good to go, just needs cleared.
