One of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. Pathetic. Kill 'em Saturday.
-
Dammit.
-
Break them in the third. 3-1. That is all.
-
Drop the hammer, Wings. Finish them!

It's the bloody economy. I'm a medical student, and my wife makes $12 an hour, no benefits. Living on student loans and tight budgets, it's next to impossible to drop $100 a ticket for a game. Our tickets for game 5 against Nashville were $40 a pop, which can be done. Our tickets for game 2 against Dallas were $100 a piece. If they weren't gifts, we wouldn't have gone. I'd have season tickets if I could. Yet, at $30-40 a ticket for regular season, $10 to park and gas at $4 a gallon, the money simply isn't there.

Walleye Capital of the World? Port Clinton, right? Here's the feed, and here, about halfway down, is how to watch it.

Truth. Golic knows football, but neither one knows the first thing about hockey. My local affiliate is interesting. There's one show with two hosts- one is a hockey fan, the other is trying to learn. Granted, he says some dumb stuff every so often, but at least he's trying.

Two of the pitchers from the Yankees- Small and Wang. Gave me no end of amusement when they would be listed as starting sequential games.

Finish them!

I'd hold on to Helm as strong as possible if I were Ken Holland. He can really play.

Late night studying, final exam next Thursday, Great Big Sea cranked on the computer. Life is good.

Speaking of Abdelkader, where has he been?
-
Any news on Morrow? Sure looked like he broke his wrist/arm.
-
Holy crap... awesome. Doesn't that give Osgood 47 career playoff wins, thus tying him with Sawchuk for most all-time?
-
Jesus saves... Datsyuk gets the rebound, fires to Zetterberg, Zetterberg takes the slapshot and SCORES.
-
How is it inaccurate? 6 wins remaining, or 3/4 of an octopus.
-
Okay, how the heck do you watch a sop feed with VLC?
-
Echolalia? Shouldn't you be quoting someone in order to be in tune with your name?

Wings 3-2. Dallas goes EN and can't convert. Any news yet on the Mule?
-
Not a chance. I'd pursue Ryan Miller from the Sabres- he's indicated interest in playing for the Wings. That would be an awesome combo, and lock up the goalie situation for at least 5 years.

Chelios is one of those that I really can't place. He's a step slower than he used to be, so there's a check in the negative column. He's still excellent on the penalty kill, so there's a check in the positive column. He's one of my favorite Wings, and I'd hate to see him go. However, if the Wings win it all this year, it may be his last. Go out a champion.

Now you're thinking medically. Look, folks. Let me say it really clear. The Mule has no clot. How do I know? Simple. If it were a clot on the brain due to a bleed, he'd in all likelihood be dead or hospitalized in serious condition right now. Remember, these headaches have been going on for about 2 weeks. If it were a clot from a deep-vein thrombosis (from sitting too long, for example), he'd be in the hospital already- as soon as they suspected it. Given those, it rules out a clot pretty well. That leaves my personal bet- a pinched nerve. Drop the $500 for a professional to perform the Rolf technique and loosen it up, and he would be clear to play in game 4.
-
Actually, the symptoms of a clot in the brain are pretty distinctive and severe- a massive stroke. If it truly were a clot in the brain, he'd be dead by now.
-
Yes. I would say even an axe would be a natural desire.

*cracks knuckles to type for a while* I'm a medical student. My current course of study is Neuroscience, particularly brain-based injuries. I am not a physician, but I know concussions fairly well. There is a long list of things that could conceivably explain persistent headaches, including a pinched nerve in the neck, an actual concussion, stress, or others. If headaches are the only symptom he is showing, my instincts are telling me that it's more likely a pinched nerve in his neck, and possibly something that could be fixed either by massage or the Rolf technique. He should definitely sit game 3 for testing. If the testing comes back negative, then it could be considered that he could play for game 4.
