It's always a possibility. There are those who don't study anywhere near as much as the others. You can drop me a private message if you like- there are always slots for more Wingnut Doctors! I'll translate. Blocks 1-5 are the first year curriculum. Biochemistry, Anatomy, Neuroscience, Pathophysiology and Clinical Practice. Our scale runs Honors-High Pass-Pass-Fail, where Honors is equivalent to an A (or 89.50%+), High Pass a B (79.5-89.49) and Pass a C, 70-79.49. I'm studying the Behavioral Science chunk of Neuroscience at the moment.

God, it's been a hell of a week. 2 weeks to go in the first year of medical school! Block 1. Done, High Pass. Block 2. Done, Pass. Block 3- Neuro. Done, High Pass. Block 3- Behavioral. Halfway there, High Pass at the moment, need a 61% on the final to pass, a 78% to High Pass. Block 4. Done. Pass/Fail course, Pass. Block 5. Done. Exam was yesterday, needed a 74% to get Honors, or a 43% to High Pass. Wings win, and my wife and I are going on Saturday. Life is good.

Wings in 4 or 5. I like what I'm seeing!

Finish them off, men. I said it earlier today talking with some friends. The team that won the first ten minutes of the first period of Game 1 would win the series. Last I checked, 1-0 Detroit.

Crappy due to only having MSPaint, but I love the picture.

Thursday can't get here soon enough. Saturday even less so. Tickets!

A little extra toughness is always welcomed. I think right now they have almost the perfect blend of tough and skill, but there is room for a little bit more. I have a weird definition of toughness, I guess. I'm a medical student by trade, but a knifemaker and metallurgist by hobby. Toughness when talking about metals is the ability to take hard impacts, but not break or chip. A tough blade can cut through a nail without chipping. A tough player can take the hits and keep moving. That kind of toughness is something every team needs. It can be taught to an extent, but a major part is simply what the player is as a man. Some bend in times of trouble. Some break. Some roll with the punch and keep moving. I think the Wings just about have it right.

Will this game ever end? Heck, play two. The longer they go, the more the loser will be softened up for Detroit!

Here's to hoping Game 2 is over the weekend. Got 2 tickets.

Well, that was... epic. If they keep this up, I can't see anyone stopping them. Bring on the Conference Finals!

I like what my wife and I have coined for that line- the Ninjas.

1121 here, just down the road. I'd take a Flyers/Wings final- if I can have the same result.
-
Subcamp 12, it should have been? 12 or 13? 11 here.
-
The series may not be over... the Rangers could rally on this. Should be interesting to see. Hope he turns out okay.

First brush I ever had with hockey was actually at the 1997 National Jamboree with Scouts, weirdly enough. They did the roll call of the states in the opening ceremony, and the entire Michigan contingent started chanting "Let's Go Wings!" when they got to Pennsylvania. I asked WTF they were talking about, and the seeds of a fan were sown.

Dang, I like that phrase. Permission to use it elsewhere, with credit of course?

Wings-Rangers, Wings in 5. I have the Habs making it out of this round and losing to the Rangers- should be a classic.

I've tickets for Game 5 (don't tell my wife- they're birthday presents), and I'll bust out the camera. Here's to hoping the 80mm max lens length is real- I've a 35-75mm that would be perfect. *looks up* There's the bloody 5!

Got an 82% on my Behavioral Science exam, the Wings won, life is good.

They swept the Avs during the regular season, and I figure they can win it in 5-6. Theodore is good, but not good enough to carry the day against a healthy Wings squad.

I'm sure it's a play it by ear thing at the moment. The kid could show up tonight, or not for a few days, but generally the docs are pretty good at guessing. Best of wishes to him!

I know a few people at UT who commute daily from Detroit-area suburbs, so it's a fair question.

Are you at Toledo, or one of the ones up around Detroit?
