You got me.

Behavioral Science exam in the morning. (Got to love med school.) Chelios jersey waiting on the dresser. Strength and Honor. Let's do this.

Don't MAKE me lace up the skates!

I'm a boxer and a boxing fan, and I concur. Ali was the best of his time, sure, but Joe Louis is the best gloved heavyweight. I'd personally argue John Sullivan for best heavyweight, but bare-knuckle and gloved boxing are totally different fight styles. I'd go so far as to say Joe Louis would class as the best 20th Century boxer. As for Hasek, without any flaming, I'd say his body is just wearing to the point that he can't keep up with his mind. When he gets enough shots to keep warmed up, he's great. Problem is, Detroit's playing style is as such that the shots he faces are rare and extremely well-placed.

Okay, Calgary or Colorado next. I like both.

There are a few places around, it's all a question of if I can spare 2-3 hours to sit and watch it all.

That was absolutely EPIC. I have been to more than my share of sporting events. Football, basketball, hockey, racing, you name it, and I have never heard an arena that pumped when Franzen scored. Did anyone see the postgame interview with Trotz? He looked ticked- all I saw was a few seconds walking by at the Joe.

Let's see... Round 2 could be Calgary (3-1-0), Colorado (4-0-0), or Dallas (3-1-0). I like the odds against any of them. Going with the rest of the bracket, Detroit's 2-2-0 against Anaheim, 3-0-1 against Minnesota and 2-1-0 against San Jose. At LEAST 0.500 against anybody left, and over 0.500 for the three teams currently leading in their series. I like round 2 to be over faster than round 1. The Tigers have too much firepower to finish below 0.500. I can see them finishing right around there unless they make some changes, but still over 0.500. As for the Pistons... swept by the 76ers? Is he high?

Go say 10 Hail Gordies and sin no more.

Have you shaven since?

My motivational speech would be simple. 54 wins. Good. President's Trophy. Good. Those will both be forgotten if you don't do one thing. Get out there and win. Let's get 'em.

Makes perfect sense. Well, with Hasek out, I'd say their major problem is taken care of. The D played well without Hasek last night, so I would wager they'll win *checks clock* tonight!

I'm planning on wearing my Chelios jersey to class on Friday since we're going up to the game. However, class isn't the strangest place that jersey has shown up. That would be my Anatomy final exam, back in the beginning of March. Sucker's good luck, I tells ya! Then again, I bumped into a classmate wearing a Lidstrom jersey afterward- let's just say there was a knowing nod. How about the other Wingnuts? Any weird places you've seen the Winged Wheel?

Come on, Wings. Play your game and win it.

Time to answer.

Can I hang a lack of intensity? They'll be on fire in Game 4, win it in 5.

Opening night, Ducks and Wings, with Hudler scoring the lone shootout goal. The house went absolutely NUTS. Now to see if I can make another memory Friday!

I'd say the winner of the West is the Cup winner, but it's not going to be San Jose. What's with the game clock? Just went old-school.

Yeah, the Storm logo was lame, but at least the name wasn't vile. The Toledo Walleye, though? Why on Earth did they pick something you can snag out of Erie with a chunk of day-old bread?

Here I am, since I can't get the personal pic to load. Those are the foothills of the Appalachians behind me- Blackwater Falls, WV.
