Who cares how they got Kane and Toews? If u suck u get a high draft pick thats the rules. I dont believe they sucked on purpose they just did. They play the game the right way. Would much rather have Hawks win another Cup then see Tampa win one. They pissed me off in the first round and unlike others i couldnt care less if Yzerman is their GM. Unless you're really old I don't see how you would actually hate the Hawks. All i remember is them sucking for years then finally getting good and having a couple good series with the Wings. I remember their players would always give us credit as well.

Both Chicago and the Ducks are better then Tampa. Dont get fooled because they shut down the Rangers who could barely score this post season. Also won what 10+ games only by 1 goal? Anaheim would be Tampa for sure, Chicago could run out of steam.

Smith is better then most of our defenseman. Lets not act like this thread would be made if he didnt make a dumb mistake last night. Yes he can make silly plays, but everyone of our defenseman does the same s***. DeKesyer hasnt been that great this year but since hes everyones boy toy (probably because hes from Michigan), you dont hear much about him. Kronwall turns it over, same with Ericsson. Quincy is probably most reliable. But i guess since everyone had high hopes for Smith he gets bashed on the most. I also like when people talk about "hockey smarts" like they actually played the game at a high level and understands what it takes. I guess its really easy.

When are u going to realize that going 14-7-7 which Detroit was when Z got injured after Datsyuk missed 4 games is not a losing record? Do we need to go back to math class? The wings never had a losing record at anytime this season.

It would be a trap game if they were bad, they wernt. Had tons of chances, should have won. Not like they crapped the bed and got dominated all game. Wasn't a letdown at all IMO. Its like people forget we actually play against other NHL teams and can lose? Ward was great.

So many whiners in here. No this isnt the worst team in the last 25 years, no this team doesnt "suck". They might "suck" in shootouts but who cares? 4th in the East and havnt lost in regulation in a while. They need everyone healthy at once and we'll see whats up. Fil actually scored the goal to put the Wings up 2-1. Z scored to put them up 3-1 before they scored that late one. Fil's goal was for all intense and purpose, the winner. Fil was highly under appreciated on here. One of the better playoff performers for us as well. But thats not surprising, this is the same fan base and website that was rdy to give up on Kronwall, Ericsson, Howard at times, now it's Smith.... Whos' next? EDIT: Almost forgot Rafalski
