Yes, except now, instead of admitting mistakes, the commissioner personally sucks the dick of any official that makes a mistake and compliments them.

While I agree with the general sentiment here that the comparison of Pittsburgh drafting no brainer first rounders/first picks like Sid and Geno doesn't compare to the genius of the talent Detroit has landed with high round picks, I also don't think the Pens don't deserve any credit. They did a good job of trading up to land Fleury, and besides that have also brought in some good players from outside, including some of those that have performed crappily at other places, but seem to fit in well with the Pens game (like Gill).

How are Sid and Geno an exciting tandem? They're certainly exciting individually, but "tandem"? They normally don't even play on the same line, except on the occasional PP. Other than that, most of these are actually pretty damned funny. Wait a minute.. I see a trend here... they're all funny.. ahaha! That was a joke then! Good one ESPN!

Unfortunately, variety is lacking down here and most of its domestic.. the non-domestic stuff is only the big name non-domestic stuff. Nothing like good local brewery or regional stuff. Budweiser (the s***ty American stuff) and Natty Light reigns down here heavily, redneck beers for a redneck population. As for me, usuals are Sam Adams, Amber Boch, Dos Equis, Bass, Guinness, and Smithwicks.

Just as a note, there are other fun games like this as well involving a Yeti using a penguin as a sports object. Just search "Yeti sports". There's a whole series of them.. Flamingo golf (which involves the Yeti using a flamingo as a golf club in Africa... maybe we should link the Pens board to that one ) .. search Yeti Sports 5 for that one .. The Albatross lift one is one that I had a lot of fun with, that one is Yeti Sports 4 I think... and the Penguin toss, where you try to get the penguin up to a new height.. I think that one is Yeti Sports 3.

"Right wing, #87... Sidney Crosby!" "At defense, the Captain of this Piiiiittsburgh team... Siiiiidney... Crooooosby!" "Minding the net, with no goals against this season, the one and only.. Sidney Crosby!" "... Oh, and Evgeni Malkin too."

But not as awesome as Crosby winning the cup, because we all know he'd be the first young and skilled north american to win the cup and that would just be spectacular/

Sid has never put up the kind of defensive performance Datsyuk has. Also, consider the people Datsyuk was playing with his rookie year. (Crosby would still outscore him, but he's not having to compete for ice time/goals with the caliber of veteran talent Dats did) We'll see what sort of numbers Crosby is putting up when he's older. I'm more curious on how much he improves his defensive game than how many points he puts up.

He's kinda like the Detroit version of Hal Gill, if Hal Gill were on a cold streak right now.

Man, this sort of takes all of the fun out of beating Colorado. It's like clubbing a baby seal. With a lead pipe.

Hence why Pronger wasn't included in my own list this year. Again, the topic reads "In the world today" .. not "in the world 2 seasons ago" not "in the world 3 years from now when Crosby has had a 130 point season and is hoisting the cup." Today, my list stands as "1: Lidstrom, for a plethora of reasons; 2/3: Datsyuk and Zetterberg, because both have managed to seamlessly integrate top 6 in scoring with top 3 in forward defensive ability, along with a good amount of flair and attractiveness to their style of play, and let's not forget another important attribute: sportsmanship, which both and moth especially Datsyuk do not lack in. Ovechkin is an insanely close 4th, so insanely close that he's arguably better and rightfully so, being a few years younger, top in the league in goals and points, and also a good physical presence to boot. All the goal scoring talent of Malkin, all the point-gathering talent of Crosby, but at the time being more of a complete hockey player, and, in my own opinion, more class. (Also, a better beard)

I was referring mainly to Ott, and his spearing/other blatant penalties and cheap shots away from the play. That, and his constant going after Draper and avoiding D-Mac, like our all time favorite turtle. Cowardly. I rather like most of the rest of the Dallas team, though I'm afraid I'll never get over that hilarious Ribs dive from a couple years ago.

I suspect that more than anything else, D-Mac's troubles were a result of that temper of his being flared up a bit by a couple particular cheapshotting cowards on Dallas. They'd spear and slash but wouldn't take a fight with an enforcer (or even an ex-enforcer).
