Been a fan of Datsyuk since I heard of him, tried to follow him closely ever since. He's just got such style, it's freakin' sweet. Since he's worked on his body and stepped up his physical game, I hold him up as currently the best all-around forward in the league. Shortly behind is his euro twin Zetterberg, but I think Pasha has a touch more flair. And you can't help but like the funny-looking bugger. Regardless, they're an astounding pair. The only reason I say best all-around forward and not best all-around player is because of the genius known as Lidstrom. Crosby has some serious talent, but he can have his goals.. until he starts playing as much of a developed two-way game as Dats, or Z, he takes a side seat for me.

Crow. It's what's for dinner. I think we need to add a new acronym around here, QFC: Quoted for Crow

If/when this ever happens, how much money are you owed at this point?

Followed by Kronwall being suspended for the rest of the series and possibly the next season, for a new, made-up-on-the-spot penalty, "Desecrating a Sacred Relic" ... because we all know that the NHL treats Crosby like the 2nd coming of Howe Gretzky Christ. (Don't take this as a bash against Crosby, I actually like him. He has some growing up to do, but then again, so do I, heh. I'm more annoyed with how he's treated like a deity than anything else. Hell, I wonder what sort of person he is and if he's annoyed with it as well at times...)

While we're signing Cloutier, can we grab Holmqvist as his backup?

I wouldn't call it an awful game, but I'd certainly call it very 1-sided. I'd call it awful if both teams were tripping all over themselves. Only one team was doing that.

Oh, I have two reasons for disliking basketball. One is that goals happen so often in it there's nothing special about scoring whatsoever (except in the last minutes.. which in that case they could just play a 5 minute game and whoever scores most in that amount of time wins). The other part is more personal. Down here in NW Florida, in our god-awful school systems, whenever they didn't have anything better for you to do, especially in phys ed. classes, basketball was the only thing they'd let you do, ever. 13 or so grades of that got reeeeeally boring, especially considering I was/am a fan of other sports (hockey, of which there is none within 100 miles, soccer, which I played). Oh. Empty netter. And Pens win. No surprise there.

I don't hate Crosby. I actually like watching him play. I just hate all the extra pomp/hype he gets (even if it IS deserved, which I wouldn't disagree with, it takes the focus off of too many other good players that don't get as much.. like, say, Datsyuk).

Only if he does it on a legitimate, clean, hard hit, and not some goonery.

I don't hate the Pistons, I just find basketball horribly boring.

If this series with the Pens and Flyers has been any judge, the solution to Fleury has been jamming up the front of the net and picking up rebounds and deflections. Of course, that's not something we do well at all.... >_> Flyers have been absolutely blowing on picking up on that.

And yea, they've been flubbing on a lot of passes and absolutely sucked on containment.. like that drop pass with which Prospal just backed up that statement.

Well, I suppose that makes enough sense. Not the most satisfying answer, but probably the right one. Heh.

Yea... either the Flyers were lucky to make it as far as the ECF, or the Pens have the east dominated as much as the Wings have been ripping up the west.

How dare he go 9-0! Such garbage! Damn him for not giving up all those clutch goals! No more Osgood for the rest of the playoffs!!111one XD

The West has players that are just as exciting to watch (including a couple on the Wings). They have to overhype the good players in the east to make the conference in general seem less crappy. (I'm not saying they aren't skilled, because they are! they just get extra hype)

We'd win the presidents trophy every year XD

Oh yea, that was a make up call, no doubt. That call was referenced in my snide "calling a hook whenever a stick looks like it may be coming up" comment earlier. I loathe make-up calling. It awards the less disciplined teams with powerplay time in an attempt to look equal. (See Wings vs Ducks last year, ugh)
