I've always thought they could borrow from the football overtime playstyle, where teams get back and forth opportunities until someone comes up short. In the case of hockey, one team gets a 2 minute PP, and then the other team gets a 2 minute PP. This goes back and forth until one team converts and the other doesn't. Switches to 5 on 3 PPs after 2 or 3 exchanges.

I think a good addendum to that would be that after the 4 minutes, it changes to 3 on 3 after the next stoppage in play.

I agree. He's been working hard and has a decent shot (and a righty shot at that, something we lack). Hell, I'd give it to him just for the hard work.

Dallas: pays a lot o' money on Brunnstrom, eventually waives him Detroit: pays less money for Leino, gets a pick (and a spare part) for him Detroit wins. Regarding Brunnstrom, while I think he's overhyped, I also think Dallas misused him. He's more suited to a top 6 role, which Dallas has no room for now. A team like the Pens could make use of him.

To be fair, 2 of those goals Ozzie couldn't do much. That said, 2 goals on 9(15) shots is still pretty brutal.

Top line needs to produce. Holmstrom has been anything but production so far. I wouldn't mind seeing Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Cleary for a bit.

What's up with the powerplay this year? I'd blame Mo for being the new guy except he's been one of the only guys on the PP to get the puck on net. Just yuck.
