Yea, looking at the standings, if the Sharks lose this one, they have to win one of the games they have in hand, lose the other in overtime, and perform equally in their/the Wings remaining 12 games to tie the Wings in points.

That hasn't been the current status of the rule since the year after that Hull/Hasek fiasco.

That is why goaltender interference should be reviewable.

You'd think something like that happening would warrant a stoppage of play, not only because of the misfortunate disadvantage that's even more crippling than a broken stick, but also because of the fact there's a loose razor sharp piece of metal out on the ice.

Fixed In all seriousness, I'd love to see an Osgood vs Brodeur battle in the finals, assuming Osgood is back in his usual playoff form. Their playoff stats with their respective clubs are nearly identical. Brodeur career playoff stats with NJ: .919 SV% 1.96 GAA Osgood career playoff stats with DET: .920 SV% 2.00 GAA This is with both facing nearly equal average shots against and scoring chances against (only a slight advantage to NJ there). Both goalies play a similar style at the top of their game as well. Brodeur has a hybrid style and is known for a great glove hand. Osgood is basically a smaller Brodeur.

So you put 2 defensive oriented and 2 offensive oriented d-men together? That 2nd pairing would be a puck turnover disaster.

I have no problems with Detroit paying D-Mac a two-way for another year or two to be an inspirational figure and veteran leader in GR. A great sort of player to have playing with a developing roster imo.

Or we could just go with Howard and/or Larsson which will cost us nothing more than what we already pay, while we wait for McCollum.. Just a thought.

Were the 1st period and 3rd period from the same hockey game? I was having feed issues, so with how laggy it was, it might be a different day now.
