There are still lots of tickets available via the Avs website, if you want to go that route. Scalping is illegal in Denver, but most likely tickets will be going for below face value outside of the arena. There usually are a lot of people out there selling tickets. My guess is you will also be able to buy tix directly from the box office the day of the game, and save the online service charge. Be prepared for a bit of verbal abuse. Avalanche fans don't take kindly to people wearing Wings jerseys, especially if the Wings aren't there. Brooklyn's is a fun restaurant, right outside of the Pepsi Center. It's a popular before/after game hang out. The only problem is, you'll be there with Avalanche fans. Have fun with your boys! My boys are adults now, and I still love taking them to games!

I'll be going to the game in Toronto next week, and am thinking about going to the Wings Social Media Meetup at the HOF. Anyone else planning on being there?

Well, the Wings win more than they lose, so I never pick against them.

Using google translator to read the text (I really like this magazine for the articles ), I liked that the upcoming article will " publishes the text of the never-ending craving for new victories" I like that - a never-ending craving for new victories.

No, I don't celebrate Christmas, so no worries there. And for Hanukah, I'm taking my sons to Toronto to see the Wings play on January 7th. The person below me will be doing a lot of skiing this winter.
-
Except when the Wings play there, then the arena is sold out!
-
I heard they don't think much of you, either.

Movin' on up!
-
I'll be there!!! Who else is going? I'm going to show up when the puck drops, won't partake in the Floppa lovefest. Here's hoping the rest of the Wings fans stay away and the Can is only half full for Floppa!!!!

Shoreline has it right. I have Comcast, and I live in Denver. Center Ice has all the Wings games, except those on Versus, NBC or NHL network. Most nights I can choose which broadcast I want to see (Wings or opponents), but sometimes I have no choice and have to watch opponents. Comcast is sorely lacking in it's HD broadcasts, though, and usually I have to watch in non-HD. I'm hoping this year they will have more than 1 HD channel. Definitely worth it!!
-
Thanks for coordinating this! Here's hoping that next season we can top $1000!!!

I have Center Ice thru Comcast (I live in Colorado), and the game will be on Center Ice tomorrow, channel 13 (which is 493 for Colorado Comcast viewers). No high def, but at least I can see it!

Again, with my humble thanks to the original author, ‘ ‘Twas The Night Before Playoffs ‘Twas the night before Playoffs and all through the Joe Not a player was skating, not even Mike Modano. The jerseys were hung from the rafters with care Stevie, Sid, Gordie, Terry, Ted, and Alex were there. The fans in Detroit were all snug in their beds, While Stanley Cup fever danced ‘round in their heads. Valtteri Filppula, Kris Draper, Brad Stuart, you see Would star in their dreams of what would soon be. Next day on the ice there would be such a clatter, That, for true fans of hockey, nothing else would matter. Away to the arena, we fly like a flash, (Unless we can’t get tickets, ‘cause we don’t have the cash). The laser light show on the freshly groomed ice Would light up the way as we welcome our guys! Then, what to our wondering eyes should appear, But the best of the NHL, at least so far this year. With a Captain named Lidstrom, and a forward named ‘Tuzzi We knew in a moment we all could be woozy. More rapid than eagles, the players they came, And we whistled and shouted, and called them by name. “Now Rafalski! Now Kronwall! No, go, Jiri Hudler! On Datsyuk! On Zetterberg! And, now, Abdelkader! Into the Playoffs! With the best of the League! There’s no turning back! There will be no fatigue!” “There’s Holmstrom!, and Emmerton!, and Ruslan Salei! Jan Mursak! Doug Janik! They’re all on their way! Thanks to Joey MacDonald and Tomas Tatar! We got to this point, and we know we’ll go far!” For now, in a twinkling, no rest for the weary Here’s Franzen! And Helm! And Danny Cleary!! There’s Kindl and Ericsson and Jimmy in net. Drew Miller, Patrick Eaves, the best fourth line yet! As the Coyotes and the Sharks and Canucks all cry, When they meet with the Wings, and their Stanley dreams die. As the Penguins do crumble and Montreal meets with fate, The Bruins and Capitals will just have to wait. Then, dressed up so nicely, in the best they could find, The coaches line up, with the trainers behind. There’s MacLean, and McCrimmon, and head coach Mike Babcock And, of course, Ozzie, the world’s best back-up Ken Daniels makes the calls, he’s in no hurry And between the benches, who else but Larry Murphy! Our eyes, how they twinkle! Our hearts are so merry! With Redmond to comment, or maybe Don Cherry. Not at the Joe to help the nation cheer, Instead in the car, with Ken Cal in my ear. Sitting, waiting for the Red Wings to shine "He shoots and scoooorrres!” is the perfect sign. With a wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Mike soon had assured us we had nothing to dread. He spoke not a word; these guys know how to win To the Finals we go, we can do this again. They spring to the ice, as the referees whistle, In pursuit of the Cup they will fly like a missile. And the fans will exclaim, whether they lose or they win, “Go, Red Wings! We Love You! What a great year it’s been!” GO WINGS!!!

I'll pledge: $12 for every series win, plus $12 for a sweep $1 for every Modano assist $1 for every point from the blueliners Well, since Modano is a healthy scratch for tonite, I'll add in $1 for every Pavel point, and for good luck, $1 for every Abdelkader point. For all games!
-
Thanks! It's been added!!! Check out the OP!
-
Lots of love for Ken Cal!!! Write the verse and we'll add it!

Great paper!! And so true......

"To be honest it's difficult for me to pick one word to describe it, or one instance of what he did. But this feeling of warmth and love within the team - it's worth so much. It's what is done for the team that every Detroit player treasures so much." And this sums up the entire reason why the Red Wings have been dominant for so long, and will continue to be so. It starts at the top with Mr. and Mrs. Illitch, and then runs through the entire organization. It is so much more than having a good coach, or one or two great players. It is the organization's vision, which is evident in everything they do.
