I'm pretty sure that NBC is locked up for a few years but that Versus only goes for one or two more. God I would give anything for it the be back on ESPN. NBC and Versus are terrible, but there's not much they can do with NBC at this point. But I would love NHL on ESPN. Just imagine the increased highlights on SportsCenter, the theme music back (as someone had said), etc. But for some reason, I highly doubt it in the near future. At least another two or three years. Plus, Bettman's an idiot, so he won't do it.

I'm not reaching for Tums or anything like that. I had accepted things after the Game 3 loss. Winning this game, the Wings would just continue to suck me in (which is what I want). But if I was a Sharks fan, come on, it's pure numbers, I wouldn't be that worried just yet. Either way, I'm hoping for a great game tonight. Sports is gonna be overall boring when the playoffs are over. Let's go Wings. (Make it worth skipping my studying for finals!)

Not surprised at all. Those teams that are on there belong their because of their arenas and the discrepancy of the percentages seems fair to me.

Have to agree with the last post. I did not think putting in Ozzie made sense earlier in the series and I still don't. Jimmy in my opinion was in no way to blame for the Game 2 loss. He may be part of the blame for this choking of Game 3, but he wasn't the sole reason. He's been the guy for months now, why take it away from him when the team is one loss from elimination? I mean, I love Ozzie, but I think he showed us all that Jimmy is the guy. Personally I don't think it makes a difference at this point but hey, what do I know. You may be right. And just a side bar, Ozzie has had such an amazing career for the Wings and means a lot to me as a player that I lived and died with. Part of me does want him in there because maybe it sucks for him to just be sitting on the bench after having such an amazing run the last two years. But that's a whole nother story, it just doesn't make sense to me at this point. Build some character up for our young Jimmy who I personally believe will be our man in net for years to come. But that's just me.

I need to get over the fact that the Wings aren't going to win it every year. That being said, this made me appreciate what the Wings have done in the past two years, makes me that much more pissed about being that close last year, but realize that it is what it is . The Sharks have been due. I mean, a first round loss to the Yotes would have been a lot worse than losing to a number one seed in the sharks. Hell, months ago, Wings were worried about making the playoffs. Yeah, i'm pissed about the outcome in the game today. 3-0, history shows is only a matter of time. I've accepted it. I have faith. I'm keeping the beard until the Wings have to shave. But I have 4 stanley cup championship videos i can watch at my leisure. I'm cherishing that. This loss made me appreciate that. I also got a feeling tomorrow morning people are gonna be talkin on the radio like this wings era is over and that it's time to move in a new direction, blah blah and more blah. Yeah howie didn't really play superb, but how you can pin it all on him? I don't think it's time to ship everyone out just yet. I mean, I just don't know yet. I guess we'll see what happens.
