I personally think Bickell is a great player and would love him in a DRW sweater but there is no way you will sign him for $1M! I know this is supposed to be 'unrealistic' but geez! I also disagree with the sentiment that Wings need a superstar who they are going to pay a lot of money to. Would rather have depth, not just a 'big gun.' IMO

I'm not sure if 'love' this the right word to use. The players probably have a lot of respect for him and listen to him. They may love him. But I'm not sure there aren't times when they hate him too. Probs to Babs getting it done so far this year. He faced a lot of adversity and some people were talking about him being on the hot seat, but I never thought that was the case. Props to the entire front office and staff for staying the course. I'm not saying the team still doesn't have holes, but this run makes me feel a lot better about the team moving forward, as I'm sure is the same a lot of other Holland, Babcock, etc. bashers are thinking, though I'm sure there are still plenty out there who will say fire all of them.

I am definitely part of the population that is nervous for this game. Hawks haven't lost three in a row all year but the Wings are playing their best hockey all year. Going to be a great game and I will be cheering as loud as ever. LGW!

I echo the statements that 97.1 is pretty B-side, but Valenti is simply good at what he does (the guy can talk), and the station as a whole is just too easy to listen to as opposed to jumping through hoops to listen to national podcasts and the like. Further, “Hockeytown” is simply a name that is trademarked and owned by the organization and the Mr. I. Never saw it as anything more than that, just a marketing tool. Does the town deserve the label? Maybe. Are there places that rival it? Sure. Doesn’t really affect it for me. Basically everyone can talk and talk and talk but I’ll still be a Wings fan either way so they can keep on. Go Wings.

I personally prefer during end of national anthem but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. I can't see them calling the penalty on the Wings if it was thrown in the middle of the game, though the rule does exist there, somewhere. I guess I've never seen it called but it's not to say it's never been called. Wasn't there also something that came out a few years ago that said Al Sobotka could no longer spin an octopus over his head on while on the ice to pump the crowd up, thus his spinning of it only after leaving the ice surface that went on a few years, and now he just completely ignores it?

I generally agree with Tootoo being in the lineup for an energy burst by providing hitting, but he is just not an offensive threat; Cory is quicker and works better with a line of Bert and Pat, a line of 17-22-44 wouldn't work and the first three lines have been working so should not be juggled. Wings need scoring chances from places other than the first two lines if they want a shot at winning. IMO. And there's always the shake up potential for later in the series if they need someone like Toots for a spark. But yeah, there have been times where I think we'd be better off rotating five D and having someone like Tootoo in the lineup instead. Defense is such a rollercoaster to watch. Go Wings

Made my first jersey purchase a few years back and debated for weeks on end between Helm and Abby. Now I wish I would've gotten the Abdelkader. Not only are there more letters for the same amount of money, but dude's been lights out lately! Stud! Keep it up Abby. (And get well soon Helm, not to dog you).
