Flip's goal was fine too but this isn't only about the finish of it but how he started it from the blue line off a pass to himself and then scored on his own. I think both goals were pretty mastodonic lol

It was 4-2 Thrashers after the 1st and 6-3 Thrashers around the start of the 3rd but it's now a 6-5 game with less than 10 minutes left. This is actually turning out to be a better game than I thought. Terrible defending and goaltending at moments, but it's good to see a nice game from some low tier teams. The Kings are definitely playing with more heart right now. It was nice to see him fitting in well with the others. Glad he's getting the minutes in LA that he wouldn't have been getting with the Wings. They really needed him a lot more than we did.

Although I was hoping the Kings would take it, I gotta give props to the Thrashers for even trying this hard regardless of the standings. Overall it was a good entertaining game!

Kings are currently 12th of the West with 6pts under Columbus at 8th, Thrashers in he 14th spot of the East with 19pts under the 8th spot Sabres.

Two words, Cap space. We're tight as it is. Getting Marty for a mid priced player and a draft pick or two definitely won't help that by much unless Holland can find a way to ransom his family and force him to play with us for the league minimum... Which I really think would be very unlikely lol. Although it's a nice thought and anything can happen. If you would've told me 10 years ago that Hasek was going to join, then I prolly wouldn't believe it either, the problem today is the Salary cap and how much harder it'll make it for us to even have a player that's of Marty's Status. I personally wouldn't mind seeing Brodeur retire as a Devil. I also wouldn't mind him playing a season or two with us as well
