Woooo! Game time! It feels different being the underdogs for once, but I'm just happy to see us in the playoffs for now. Huuuuge game. This is as close as it gets to a game 7 during the season. The Wings have been great the past few games and I don't know if we've had a 4 game winning streak so far this season, but we've done it many times in the past, so I think we can today, as well. Huh, interesting seeing Mason get the start for the Preds. It's a shame they weren't one of the better teams this year, but I'm sure they'll get back up there in the near future. That being said, the Wings need to do their best to stay up there and get another W to solidify it! I'm feeling even more anxious than yesterday's game but still confident in our boys. I don't think I'll ever get used to these non-playoff "do-or-die" situations! Each game since the past few have been on my mind throughout my days. We saw a different Wings team on Monday, so let's hope we see some consistency for the first time this season when we need it most. The Wings SHOULD be playing with more passion and determination than the Kings who already got themselves a nice playoff spot, not to mention they'll be without Brown. This is the first time in a while that I've felt as nervous for the Wings in a non-playoff situation. It's a pretty different feeling for the end of a season, which I'd much rather not get used to. Ahh this dreaded game. I'm sure most of us will be watching with knots in our stomachs, but this will be the last time in the foreseeable future that we'll be playing the Blackhawks as divisional rivals. The Wings haven't looked too great lately and the absence of Z will definitely hurt. But here's to seeing a much better performance with our boys showing that they know the importance of this game and everything else that lies ahead. I know how often we say that a game is going to be huge, but I think from this point on until the season ends, each game will be even more important. This might be too much to ask for but I want to see emotion from everyone. From the bottom to top lines, from the coaching staff to the fans.
