Ian White is expected to return to the Red Wings lineup on Wednesday after missing the last four games due to a fractured cheekbone. So the question is should the Wings keep Smith around to fight for a spot by sending Commodore/Brunnstrom down to GR or have him get more minutes with the Griffins? I personally hope they keep him around, I really agree with a lot of you guys about it being better off having him play with Lidstrom (especially for what could be his last year) and Kronwall. At this point I think he can benefit a lot more by playing with top level players even if it means less time compared to getting top line minutes in the AHL. As for Ian White being back, it'll be a huge boost to have a defense minded defenseman back in the lineup. I'd say the odd one out is either Kindl or Ericsson, although I don't see Ericsson being out of the lineup anytime soon. What do you guys think?

Yeah, I agree. I'd have to say Mursak. Is he faster than Flip? I can't say I've seen him skate much but I remember him being a step above everyone else as well.

All I want is a win from our Wings already! I don't care if it's a messy one or a good one, although the latter would be nicer I thought it was a good idea to bring up Commie for the Flames match up. We all know how they can be especially if they're losing towards the end. Here's to different results from the past few games! According to mlive, Babs would rather have Gus called up when the Wings are actually playing well. I don't think it's a bad choice. It was a good try to change things up a bit but really, it should start by changing up the main team rather than calling up kids from the farm. Hopefully we see Nyquist have better opportunities once the Wings are out of this slump.

Alright! Game time! The biggest thing we're all looking forward to is seeing Nyquist in action and to see how well he does. I have huge expectations from this kid due to all the hype I've been hearing about him. I hope he'll have a huge night and one to remember. Alright, the last game our big guns stepped it up like I wanted to but obviously that's not enough to win. Pretty much the way the Sharks series went in the playoffs. Alright! Game time! Been looking forward to this match up for a while now. This will be a great test for the Wings to step up their game and redeem themselves for the last two games. I'm usually hoping for the 3rd and 4th lines to step it up as a surprise but tonight I want to see our top two lines contribute the most as they should. Here's to Pavel and Hank stepping up their game the way we all know they can, and to a full 60 minute effort from our boys in red.
