I hardly slept last night and was planning on taking a nap this afternoon, but heck, who could with all this anticipation! This is definitely one of the more exciting season openers in years, and I'm stoked to see how things play out. The offseason felt like forever, but these past few hours feel even slower. Ahh, it's that time again--the dreaded game 7. The Wings are due for a big game 7 win, but I'm still damn nervous about the outcome... which might be a good thing, since the last time I really felt confident for a game 7 was in the 2009 SCFs, and we all know how that turned out! Win or lose, I'm proud to see how far the Wings managed to push Tampa Bay back, and practically had 'em on the brink of elimination. No, but really, please win, Red Wings. Here's to a great and memorable game 7, in the best possible way, and a happy birthday to Mike Babcock. May your wishes and sandwiches come true.
