It was the only book on the Wings my local Barnes and Noble carried. I would highly recommend it. It's a great read.

I lost a lot of respect for the HOF when they waved the waiting period for Gretzky then like the next year came out and said no one else would get waived and that everyone would have to wait. I know Gretzky is the "great one" but there are other players that were good enough to get in without waiting. I may be biased but I have to say Yzerman is definitely one. I mean his name like that of Gretzky is one that commands attention no matter where you go. Fans in other cities might hate the Red Wings but they all respect Yzerman.

I dunno it seems to me that a large majority of the Red Wings fans are wanting to get rid of some of the seasoned guys and take a chance with the young guys. I don't have a preference either way. Whoever is the best plays. I say resign Stuart. If Erickson or one of the young guys wants his spot bust ass and take.

I think we are all assuming too much. I think Cheli knows that he might not play much next year. Which leaves the opportunity for all these guys people are bringing up to get their shot. I wouldn't mind seeing Cheli play a few games next year and hanging around. I agree as previously stated he still has some left in the tank. I think also he has the intangible leadership/experience that will help having around the locker room.

Wow always good to know the Wings have such hot female fans. Can't wait to come to a game in Detroit this coming season.

I think if they do finalize a Detroit/Chicago Winter Classic there are really only 2 choices if they want both teams to go the throwback rout. Detroit will either wear the white with red stripes and "Detroit" on the front or they will go back to the early Red Wings jersey small more "cartoonize" winged wheel without names on the back.

I have the one with the Winged Wheel. Don't support the Tigers. Sorry. Living in Mississippi of course i'm a Braves fan, they have a farm system here. Hat looks great though.

Man the Detroit Red Wings Awards Ceremony was a nice gesture by the league. I was excited to see so many Wings winning awards. Way to go guys especially Lids.

Bruce Boudreau has been building the Caps fan base back up with the way he put that run together this year. I think if he keeps building support and manages players well they can become a contender for the east.

This is why I think Ozzie gets serious consideration. I agree it's harder to get your name in the rafters than in the HHOF, but when you look at Ozzie's stats compared to all other goalies that have worn the Winged Wheel there is a definite case to be made. He's passed Sawchuk in some important stat categories while hauling in 2 Stanley Cups. I think if he is successful for another year and makes at least another SC with the Wings then he's got it. I think he leads the Wings to another SC win, and he's locked.

I'm sitting back hoping that the positive ratings for the finals will translate into more and more games going on ESPN or at least something available to more than Versus.
