well we all know hockey is a game of superstition. thats why I got pissed when NBC showed the guy taking the Cup out. Then again with NBC having a hard on for the Pens i'm not suprised. Sure enough right after that break the Pens scored. I'm sure they will try and do it again. Lets GO WINGS

Okay let's face it. At this point we are pretty much gonna dominate Pittsburgh in game 6. There's no 2 ways about it. Their fans are gonna be loud and obnoxious and get shut up by the Wings. We all are kinda down after last night, but it was a good long game of hockey. The team just did exactly what the fans have been doing since game 4 and thinking the Cup was in the bag. Last night was nothing more than a reminder that you have to earn the Cup and it's not just freely given. I'm actually kinda glad it happened, because maybe it will cut down on all the bs when we win and post game celebration crap before we actually win the Cup. Like Lidstrom said "some people forget it takes 4 games to win the cup. We've still got to win one more game". So let's all man up and admit we got ahead of ourselves, get behind the Wings, and watch them go into the "Igloo" and beat the living hell out of the Penguins. Go WINGS!!!!!!!!

I think a couple of guys really stepped up. Homer came out firing playing like a beast. Helm was amazing. Cleary even suprised me with his crashing to the boards and fighting for pucks.

So i'm looking to get a jersey for my BDay. I'm looking on the website and there is the RBK Edge and RBK Premier. I know the edge is the authentic, but what are the actual differences in the 2 jerseys. I was wondering if you guys had any input so I could know if it was really worth spending the extra money for the RBK Edge jerseys

I heard in an effort to fight rising transportation and fuel costs, they are gonna start storing the Stanley Cup in Detroit since it spends so much time there anyways these days.

I ordered mine today. Got a Red home sweater. Yzerman with the 2002 Stanley Cup patch on it. Now the 2-3 weeks till it gets here is gonna kill me.

I have the feeling since each player gets a day with the cup and so many on our roster from Sweden, the Cup will spend a lot of time there.

Yzerman was a household name before Sid was a twinkle in his daddy's eye. I'm pretty sure its a mixture of both Sid and the fact that the Wings have one of the biggest national followings.

So after a discussion with my friend (who is a big NBA fan) it just dawned on me why Crosby is the annointed one. Bettman was involved with the NBA. The NBA has done a great job drawing casual fans, by abandoning traditional play and playing exciting less defensive play. That is why Bettman is so big on Crosby. He doesn't play defense. He is all showy and offensive minded. Bettman is slowly trying to transform the league into a 5 forward league that doesn't play defense but has amazing offensive goals. Much like the NBA scores have gone up in past years due to this, the NHL will also. We will slowly get accustomed to seeing 7-5 and 10-8 scores. He is trying to shift the focus to offensive minded teams to draw in the casual fan and doing like the NBA did and say screw the die hard old school fans.
