I think you have to look at Luongo being pushed out of the starting spot as the biggest sign that there is fraud going on. A guy doesn't lead that long then magically get pushed out. -
Funniest part of that is the announcer saying Tootoo almost became a Red Wing. that little ***** of a player wishes he was worthy of the honor of wearing the Winged Wheel.

being from the south, can i please express how sad Nashville makes me feel about hockey in the south. Football is so ingrained in the Tennessee white trash DNA that they bring those same crappy cheers from the football stadiums and alter them for the Predators.

Yzerman was the complete package. He made everyone around him better so that he didn't always have to carry the team. He was also forceful enough that when someone had to stand up and tell the team to pull their head out their ass and play the game, that guy was Yzerman. Here's all I know. Mississippi is not a big hockey place, but there are some good hockey fans. I've had a few buy me a beer just because I had my Yzerman jersey on and they admired Yzerman. -
Red you may get to see that in the finals. That is assuming The Canadians can hold up their end of the bargain.

man this is ridiculous. The Wings have fallen out of the starting spots and that buck toothed crybaby Crosby has one of the top spots. There has to be something going on. After all people in Pittsburgh aren't smart enough to use a computer.

So as I see it the Wings are doing quite well. Minus the obvious lapses on defense a few times this season they seem to be playing well. I am most suprised by the play of Conklin. My question is this. What is the best record any Stanley Cup champion has had through the first 20 or so games next season. I mean I think the Wings have definitely proven the "Stanley Cup Hangover" thing wrong but I was just curious if anyone knew who had the best record the season following their win.

I think it doesn't matter whether you think it belongs there or not. The fact of the matter is that at one point someone felt it was worth being retired and did so. Thus it should hang with the others.

Would have liked the Wings to pick up the win, but it was just some bone head plays that led to the loss. No clearing the puck out of the front of the net led to 2 goals and the 3rd I'm not quite sure what Cleary was thinking passing that.

Even one girl said we have the best Defenseman in the league but apparently that defenseman won't win the Norris Trophy.

+1. I think the Yahoo thing about being a better leader is bulls***. It's hard to measure Dats leadership with Lidstrom leading the team. I do understand that Crosby is still young, but as an overall better player I'll take Dats. Now if my team is s***e defensively like the Pens are I would take Crosby in a heartbeat with the hope of outscoring the team.

Just interested in what everyone thought. What Red Wing's goalie mask do you like the best. If you check other please reply with your choice and possibly a picture if possible. I'm always amazed at the amount of talent some of these artists that paint masks are able to display.

Guys I was wondering if any of you knew what kind of sticks the more predominate players use. Dats, Hank, Lidstrom, and Cheli would be preferred. I have a friend that is interested in knowing to try some of them out and see if they affect his game. I know the sticks the Cheli uses are made to take a beating but what about everyone elses?

thanks guys. My friend is decent. He's helping me along. We are trying to start a roller hockey team in our neighborhood so I'm learning how to skate and the basics so I can play. I have some kind of Easton stick that was given to me by a friend that worked for the SeaWolves our local hockey team.
